Hey Folks,
Well here it is the first ride report finally!! Surprisingly my bike arrived in 5 days from Steve's shop in Texas, (2 & 1/2 weeks to deliver it to him) but the day before delivery we had about 2-3 inches of snow and the state of Massachusetts decided to use up their excess salt supply (not much snow this winter so they had to expel the budget) so now I waited for a good heavy rain to wash the streets again. While waiting for rain it gave me time to give it a good detailing, Mod the right side HD frame heat deflector to fit with the new Rush Wrath 2 into 1 exhaust it has a longer rear header pipe compared the D & D as well as a milder exhaust note at idle IMO, I also installed the Yaffe curved license plate frame which was a PITA but it looks killer. So now the first ride, Off came the battery tender hit the starter and it fired right up, and settled into a nice idle, I let it warm about two minutes pulled the new AIM clutch waited about 30 seconds dropped the new DD7 into first and got a heavier and more solid sounding engagement of first gear with no forward lurching, My bike always lurched with the first engagement with a cold tranny and I've used Redline since the first service. Steve has really put a nice package together, this motor has mega power every where, I didn't beat on it to hard but the short first gear gets the bike rolling at effortless RPMS. Hard roll on the throttle in 2nd gear and the rear tire will lose traction, 3rd and above it just flies right through the rpm's!!! I'm really looking forward to getting more time in the saddle because this is a brand new machine!! ALL THANKS TO STEVE @ GMR PERFORMANCE!!!!!
