Oil blowing out of intake on 2008 110 cu, in. Anniv. Road King
« on: January 31, 2016, 07:57:50 PM »

I'm starting to notice a little oil blowing out of the intake. Does anyone have an idea what might be happening? The bike has 20K miles on it.  Thanks

Engine oil level could be the issue. If it's overfilled.

I've thought of that also and tried to keep the level a little less than the manual calls for. I'm hoping your right. Other than that she runs like sewing machine breathing fire.
 Thanks

HDs are notorious for doing what you described.  Try running the oil level less than full (between 1/4 to 1/2 qt low).  My bike seems to do this during mountain riding, with lots of up/down shifting and engine braking.

the oil is coming out of your breathers, witch go from the head to the A/C for EPA regulations, the oil isn't coming out of the intake.like said all ready the problem is most likely cause by oil tank being overfilled, but also can be caused by sumping (lower end actually filling with oil from poor scavenging),worn umbrella valves in the breathers themselves or bad ring seal
