Camp Lejeune
Al Asad, Iraq
Fallujah, Iraq
Quantico, VA

Tanker, have you been travelling?  I recall when you got here and were active but I see you had an absence of nearly a year.  Thank you for your service, glad to see you are here again.  Rog

Thanks, Rog.  I'm really happy to have the time to be back.

I moved to a new duty station and the new billet has kept me pretty busy.  It's starting to wind down a little bit so I've been able to start taking a little "CVO time" now.  And everyone has been true to form.   I have found many new reasons to spend my money on the ride.   ;D

I've always found this forum to be a double-edged sword.  Loads of fantastic people with a wealth of information and help and good stories...but always able to help you find ways to spend cash.   :D

I find stuff all the time and I'm here a lot too.

Glad you found the time to be here again.

I got an email today announcing my 2nd cousin's promotion to Colonel, he is Chief of Current Operations, XVIII Airborne Corps G3 Ft.Bragg.  Glad to see the promo, he works hard and was at Lt. Col. for awhile.

This was tucked away, just wondering if any of the new members might be serving.

SOKOOLJ - Thanks for bringing it back up, looks like a heck of a great representation of service here. I've been thinking about my time in and the guys and gals toughing it out right now over there. I have mixed feelings about the whole mess were in right now and don't want to get political. I do howeverfind one bright spot. I have always felt good about my "Growth" gained from my service. I think of my grandfather who was part of the greatest generation. I see this group of servicemembers might just be what this generation needs insofar as leadership goes.

Yessir.  Concur.  I look for people like GEN Cody, Vice CofS of the Army, to be a senator, VP or President one day.  I remember when he was the Battalion Commander of 1-101 Avn Regt "Expect No Mercy" during Desert Shield/Storm.  There will be several future national leaders rising from this generation of servicemembers.  These are the shining stars I see in the current effort.

I'll be in Clarksville Saturday morning.  Still get my hair cut at Bo's.  Then I'm headed to Knockum Hill for lunch.  Care to join me?
