Fuel pump again!! Now with 117 SE pro race kit.
« on: March 08, 2016, 06:11:39 PM »

Already had one replaced. Had starting issue and posted in that thread. It reared it's ugly head when the bike was dynoed at 1000 miLe service. So decided to get the 117 build and guess what they just called about when it went on the dyno again!!

Mine was replaced last year. So far so good. Post the dyno chart when you can. Looking forward to seeing the numbers.

They claim it has been updated with a new part number. I wonder why no recall as it seems to be a common problem. Anyone know if it is happening on other CVO models? Seems it would be the same part. Have to wait a week again to get it. Just thought though to answer my own question probably different for fuel lines.

Honey's home. Weather sucks here. By the time I got ready after unloading, a light rain. Backed it in the garage. That lasted all of 5 minutes! Passed the MOST important SOPT. Just got home and it has definitely passed the stiff test also!!

You have impeccable taste in your color choice! Numbers look good. Similar to mine! Did you have the cylinders checked for "out of round"?

Thanks for the compliments guys. Love the torque to hp curve. No the cylinders were "just bolted on". I was a little skeptical of the torque start at 100 but believe me it's there.

Yeah, same here. The torque is unreal from early on. Fantastic ride! Had mine bolted in without a check. No worries. Ride and have fun. I think these out of round cylinders are limited at best.  :2vrolijk_21:

Yeah Dawg, my sentiments exactly. Those with the concerns, and I am not saying  they should not, either don't purchase them or have that expectation of your builder beforehand. As I told the manager of my shop when you turn on the news you don't hear about the 50,000 trains that pulled into the depot, just the one that de-railed. I'm sure you'll be grinning as large as me and ride on man!!

So just off the phone with service. He said the mother ship kicked back the warranty service because the fuel pump had a blocked vent. When he told them this was the 2nd pump and identified the bike they said they have been having problems. They claim/feel that polishing media during paint/production got in the tank and is taking the pumps out. So it's going back to have the tank removed and cleaned. Just an FYI/update  for anyone with this issue.
