Like BB stated, if you try to make a CVO out of a regular production bike, the costs are considerably more. I was going to get an 07 Ultra, but when I added up all the parts that are standard on the CVO Ultra to the price of the Ultra it came out to about $44K with labor. And that's not including a limited edition paint job. (I figure they are making 4200 SECU's this year in three colors, or 1400 per color...I guess 1 out of 1400 is considered limited). Now if the dealer would give me credit for all the stock parts removed, then that may bring down the cost. But in my experience on buying a new HD, they give you all the stock parts removed in a box for your disposition. How much could be recovered on Ebay? Way too much to consider with my limited brain capacity. Anyway, when I told mamma all of this, she said why don't you see if you can get a CVO then, that's what you really wanted. Well, she didn't have to tell me twice and the rest, shall we say, is history. 8-)
