All you need is a riding buddy and a good road.

Where are you located?

I think we all go through different phases in life and our needs or wants change over time. You could be having a temporary change or it could be something more permanent. Unless you need the money you may want to hold off on selling until you figure out whether you are ready to quit riding overall or just H-D.
Try to think what made you start riding a H-D years ago and see if you have any of those feelings left, maybe change things up from going on poker runs etc. to just one or two close friends riding for fun or even solo riding to see if you like riding in the wind etc. You will either reinvigorate yourself or maybe you need a change to something like fishing, hotrods, or golf?
Also riding with a group you have common interests in such as one based on your occupation or Veteran status versus a strictly bike brand group such as HOG could help reinvigorate you.
Good luck with your decision.......

It's up to you whether you ride or not or how you feel about it.  The soap opera might be a bit over the top but it's nobody's story but your own.  So do what you please and ride on.  Or drive on.  Or walk on.... whatever.  It's all good.

Haven't gotten to the point of (100%) not wanting my bike anymore however at times I do think about selling it. :shocked2: Find myself (for whatever reasons; health, age, family, & other interests) riding less and less each year. However when I do ride I still get the rush and good feeling when I rode more. Anyways... your bike, your decision you have to do what your soul tells you... Good luck w/your decision whichever way it goes.

Go volunteer at a school or elderly home. You'll have purpose in your life again.

Well the HD is boring compared to your GSA.

Have had the same thoughts and almost sold the HD last fall. (I end up riding the GS and not the HD). But then the 117" kit came out so I went ahead and upgraded to 117". That did help a little, the HD is now more fun to ride, even though it is still just a road bike and can't compare to the riding you can don the GSA, especially if you have TKC80s on it!

But the extra torque and hp makes it much more fun to ride and I find myself actually wanting to ride the HD nowadays. Decided to hold to mine, at least to after Sturgis.

Nice.  People here take time to respond and try to help you out and you delete the original post, totally screwing up the entire thread in the process.  Please just get out and go for a ride on whatever.  Won't be hard to unload the CVO if that's what you decide to do.  Glad you're not my medical professional.

I usually quote posts I'm replying to and when I didn't it gets/got deleted... But that right there made me laugh, thanks. :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

It's no secret. When you were in the medical profession, you were providing a service. You were giving to the community. You were giving to those in need. Now, in your retirement years, you are looking for some "thing" to fill that void from work.  That's just not going to happen. Keep the motorcycle, keep all your toys, and go out and give. Give the most important thing you can, your time and attention. Volunteer. Anywhere. Shelters, schools, facilities, all these places need people,  and you need them just as much as they need you. To place fault on an outside "thing", for not satisfying your inside need to be of service is misguided.

I'm off the soap box now.

Wow!  Didn't mean to cause a S*** Storm...I just reread what I had posted and felt rather ashamed to complain as I did when in truth I have nothing to complain about.  I do appreciate each and every post...even the one stating not wanting to be my patient...lol!  So lighten up guys.  I just was venting to put my frustrations into to print.  I apologize if I offended any and all by deleting my original rants.  Mods please remove this thread. Thank you again.

Threads (as a rule) don't get removed when member's (other than the OP {original poster} reply)... you may want to in the future if you post and receive replies just let it be and accept/appreciate the responses received vs deleting your original post... or...  you can "exhale", remove yourself from the keyboard, think about what you want to post, and if you come back and feel the desire to post it after thought, post it.
