My local dealer in small town Iowa has maybe 20 new bikes on hand and they have 3-4 CVOs when I stop in.  They don't sell very quickly, of course they won't budge from msrp on CVOs either.  last time I stopped they had 2 "impossible to find" atomic red CVO SGs on the floor in addition to a CVO breakout and a CVO ultra.  they also had a couple baggers they put a paint set, pipes/tune, and other minor upgrades on, and wanted $48-50k for.  I laughed.

Like the man said, the CVO is now sadly just another "Package". You want an Ultra, your packages now include, Ultra Classic, Ultra Limited, Ultra Low, and CVO Ultra.
The thing for me about the CVOs is this...if I can get a good price on the CVO (and I did on my 16 RGU CVO), by the time I would buy the RGU and add all of the things I'd want the price would be almost the same and I wouldn't have the nicer paint, 110, etc.  Plus, as I have worked hard for my money, grown older, now retired I'm going to get what fits my needs/wants the best.  In this case it was the CVO.  Since there was nothing wrong with my other bike, if I couldn't have gotten a good deal on it I would not have bought it.  Buddy Stubbs in Phoenix treats their repeat customers very well.

I will have to admit we see a lot more bikes in general in northern Arkansas vs. the southern part of the state.  Even in the rural areas.  Along those lines, we see many more Harley's than we used to as well, but the majority are not CVO's.  Still, it's always nice to see one out and about.

We ate out the other night and saw modified Harley (a Dyna, maybe?) with a 110 engine added to it.  I'll bet it was a screamer.

I was out for a run up here not long after I bought the RGU and heading back to the house when another '15 non-CVO RG came from the other direction.  I found this very odd, as it's basically a county highway with one way in and one out if you're on a road bike.  It was good to see, but I was so surprised I didn't think to flag the guy down and introduce myself.

On highway 14 in this county, you will always see bikes, and usually packs of them.  It's a fantastic biking road, especially if you take the highway 125 cutoff and head up to Peel and the ferry they run across Bull Shoals Lake that takes you into Missouri.
