Hubbard, very nice bike.  I see those wheels are now very desirable and hard to find in good condition.

It would make you a nice ride today.

Thanks, Dan.  I do miss that Bike, since I dug out the picture!  I bought those Wheels in Prestonsburg, KY, from Blackburn Harley-Davidson.  Those old Super-Glides were so dam agile!  You could throw that Bike in a curve at stupid speed, and it'd stick like glue!  'Course I had less fear, and sense, back then!  Can't remember if I had 2", or 4" Over Tubes on that Machine.  Always thought that made 'em handle better.  I even had 2" Over Tubes on my '89, and '91 Ultra.  Dam sure made 'em look better.  To me anyway.  Lookin' forward to markin' that project off my Bucket List!  Later--HUBBARD

My first HD was a 81 Low Rider with Andrews cams & S&S super carb. You could adjust the idle so low it would nearly fall off the kickstand when it would idle. I remember trying to impress the ladies at a local watering hole ( I was 19) & kick start it in a gravel parking lot. I looked like I had showered with a cheese grader the next morning! Good Times!

Found it!  This is one of the 2 Shovels I've owned.  This one is a '73, the other one was a '76 Super-Glide, I bought New in Va. Beach, back in the day, at Witchduck Harley-Davidson, I think that was the Stealer's name.  Don't remember.  Anyway, it was a piece of chit.  AMF junk.  Tilley built the Motor in this '73.  Ran pretty good.  Sorry it's on pdf, but that's all I could do.  Later--HUBBARD

I BET OL Hubb was bigger than life when he threw a leg over that one. Probably thought he was the BigNuttedMan or sumthin.

Life begins just outside your comfort zone and you havent lived until you push a full dress harley on a hot day up a grade because your low mile twincam fell apart, and your convinced it's to bitchen to leave it there.           Ugh pardon me but do you have any beer?

Hehehe.  Yes, I did!  I was definitely a character back then!  Just thankful my dear departed Momma never stopped praying for my dumb-a$$, and the Good Lord let me live through those chapters in my life!  I'da never made it, otherwise.  Just happy to still be here, and be reasonably sane and healthy, all things considered.  Later--HUBBARD
