Cowgirl.  I am so sorry to hear that a decision was made with you not being a part of the discussion. Like a question of whether or not your bike had ever been in a trailer would have made sense, not the decision told to you that it was. I encountered a similar problem when my bike went in for it's first service and I had a big fight with the service manager of the local dealer and it ended up rather poorly.  They did step up and replace the bad painted part, but such bad service was done to my bike on other swaps/installs etc. that it has cost me many a day and $1800 to have the other problems fixed, and my bike is not welcome at that shop.  So I am happy to hear that even though I don't think you are being treated fairly, at all, you are, like I am, still in love with your wonderful SEEG.  If I can say anything about it, just pay the bill, and get on with it. I spent way too many days and nights being sick about the way I and my bike were treated.  Now it is great and I am riding it and having the time of my life.    :D

No I would not buy another.

I am responding to this thread since I just decided to sell my Cherry SEEG. Some may remember when I got it the problems I had, but all is resolved now and I just started riding it with the old lady.
The problems I have with it are rock hard seat (worse for her), bars too low for me, rear shocks non-existent.
What I like is the looks, performance, decent handling in the corners for such a big bike.
All this can be fixed but the original problems (cosmetic) has made the experience not good.
My 01 Heritage is much better for both of us to ride.
Not to dispair I plan on being part of this group for some time, I am #1 at my MSRP dealership for the 07 CVO's.

Tim, glad to read your going forward with whatever is going to float your boat best.  Everything you mentioned are things that have been replaced on my red bike.  Corbin seat, Wild 1 bars, Progressive shocks.  A bunch of other stuff too to make the bike what HD might have chose to make it to begin with.  But I didn't have all the other hassles you had to contend with from day one.  That could certainly sour the milk.  Enjoy the Heritage and enjoy the hell of out the new CVO when the 07s come rolling in.

I have been very lucky with my 05 SEEG.  I have not had any problems and hope it stays that way.  I would do it all over again (and have with my wifes 06 SEVROD).  This site is the greatest.  I am proud to be a part of it.  I have learned a great deal and can only hope to be able to contribute something to someone in the future.

Greenville is the largest city in the area.  We are in northern south carolina.  Greenville Spartenburg Anderson are the 3 largest cities in the area.
