he was yankin that thing on some pretty fair twisties and doing pretty well too

Scot, I was totally amazed, it would have taken more of a run to get bye him than I was interested in on those tight turns coming in the back way to the hotel.  No one was being held up that's for sure.

And I guess if one of us would have broken down we would have had beer right there with us :huepfenlol2:

Congratulations on your new purchase.

I just want to call you a bad name -   only cause I'm jealous.

But seriously - Congratulations.

don't forget the welder and cutting torch! ;)

Nancy and I were laughing last night thinking about the thief selling that hot trailer.

Would go like this,

"Hey guys, wanna buy a trailer cheap? It has no wheels or tongue but you can drag it with a chain or haul it in the back of your pick up truck".
"But it is cheap"
"And for what it's worth, I will give you a really good deal cause the tag doesn't match the trailer". ;)

 :2vrolijk_21:

That is only because we don't think like thieves.  There are folks that will steal anything they think they can turn a buck on.  I'm not neurotic but I do secure my valuables.  This chit ain't cheap and my insurance is maxed out.  With my policy there is only so much you can add in accessories and trailers are considered accessories.  To add more they would have to insure it as a custom bike with agreed upon amount coverage which is way, way out of sight price wise.

You FD guys kill me! let's see. No white lining, no high speed riding, no diving into twisties, no easy parking, no 2 abreast, find a place to lock it up....! Hmmm, sounds like it might be time for a convertible! ::) Hoist! 8)
Howie, with or without I ride as close to the white line, drive as fast, dive into twisties, don't have trouble parking, never ride 2 abreast anyway.  Do lock it up however.  It is not for everyone but like Don said as we get older we do like our comforts.

Maybe Trailer Trash :pepper:

The evil green monster in me was not thinking of that name................

But I am sure glad that you helped me find one that I won't feel bad about saying.

Don,  Now you are just "Trailer Trash" for getting this great touring option, days before our departure on the International CVO Trip of a lifetime "for 2007"

Very good advice on draining the cooler. We have about 10 bikes pulling trailers in our group. We make jokes about tonga or tongue weight as in nothing taste better than tongue weight. Usually we wait until we get close to the event to load the ice chest with ice and food and we carry one of those collapsable ones for just beer. But then our trailers have pop up tents in them so average weight close to 500 lbs loaded, 325 empty. we do alot of Abate weekend campout functions.
That was not my fault. He forgot to say he had 30lbs. of trophy's in there and lots of beer.
They sure are nice to carry all the little extra's :huepfenjump3:

So I'm looking to rent a trailer I can throw two dressers into to tow at least half way to Nelson, and all I find is these trailer you drag behind the motorcycle. Some are real cute, most look real handy.

Then I lock into the pop up tent trailers.  They are about the same price as the trailers that just haul stuff - and from what I'm looking at, they can carry as much stuff as the others, plus their own tent makings.  They look pretty cool. Not that I want to really camp - but the ability to pull over for two or three hours in the afternoon perhaps is not all bad.  Maybe even one or two nights at destination if extra bed space is not available at the family's homesteads, but I am wondering, do you really use the tent ability with your trailer very much?  Curious ----------- is all.

We camp all the time. Karen is excited about Nelson since we do not usually stay in Hotels. It sure is nice sleeping off the ground. Yes they carry just as much sometimes even more than some of the smaller cargo ones. As soon as it stops raining here we are going to set it up to take some pictures inside and out.We also carry a shower tent and a zodi instant hot water that runs off a propane bottle (small one)

First off congrats Don on the purchase of your trailer. Wow!!! That didn't take long at all only took one night of dreaming about it to purchase it. Now several nights of dreaming how you want to "pimp" it out, and seeing some of the trailers that will be on the Nelson trip I can only guess what yours will look like come next spring if not sooner. ;D

Going to wait on too much pimping Gary.  Want to make sure that dealing with it while on the road doesn't suck first.  I can live without it.  Just hoping it'll be an overall beneficial addition.  If not someone else can have it.

Mrs We I forgot to say the trailer we have was made in Nanaimo BC. Appropriately named "Hammer Camp" for when you stagger back to camp at night.
