I didn't picture you as a Chevy guy. I thought for sure you were a Ford man :).

Nope, the only Ford I've ever owned for any period is a 56 Tbird I've had for several years.  Have been predominantly GM all my life.  They're what I grew up playing with.  There are a few Chrysler products I've always enjoyed and lusted after to some degree or another.  But very few FoMoCo really.  One exception though.  I've always loved the 66-67 Mustang fastbacks.  Just dig the lines on that car.

Those stick on reflectors were on my mind for a bit driving back from KC this afternoon.  My mind decided it didnt' like them either  :2vrolijk_21: .  They may have a justifiable function.  But damn it looks better without them.
Don, congrats on the trailer.  It looks awesome.  Amazing what a little paint and chrome can do!  Ditto on the reflectors.  Unfortunately on the new ones DOT required them to be lighted and Bushtec cannot omit them and I'll be darned if I'm going to patch and repaint.  Just convince myself that folks can see me from the side better at night (and they probably can).

Yeah, I saw it. Now I need to decide if I really want/need to spend the $.

I have to admit being amused by the reflectors being gone.  Or at least that I hadn't even noticed they were gone until say the before and after pictures here.

I didn't even know if they were glued on or through the body.  So old one were stick on reflectors and a DOT requirement has new models with lighted ports?  That's interesting.  Given that they were kind of ugly square things that didn't match the lines of the trailer at all I'm glad they're gone.  Sometimes you get lucky and don't even know it until later  :2vrolijk_21: .

This is what I was refering to in post 452:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-Bushtec-Turbo-2-Motorcycle-Trailer_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ80768QQihZ004QQitemZ140151624884QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

AJ, if that's the model you're looking for and the CFO approves you better snap it up.  His buy it now price is well within reason from what I witnessed in the three weeks before and two weeks of continued interest after I bought mine.

It's only a nice day's ride away to fetch it home.  Don't forget to tack on another few hundred bucks for hitch and a trinket or three that Bushtec might off and that you'll find you desire.  So....  you going to let someone pull the trigger on it ahead of you?

That sounds like a scary process.  Potentially lots of hidden future charges too.  Always a good idea to be very careful there (so I'm told).

Absolutely.  I got $2,800 for my '99 Turbo when I sold it in Feb.

I spoke to Andrew this morning while in Daytona. He priced out a color matched Turbo for my bike. Still awaiting the CFO's approval ...& still watching ebay.

If the "CFO" rides with you that should be a no brainer to get approval - I woulds suggest that you save some $ and not color match it (Black) goes with everything and your trailer will out live any color bike you may get in the future.

Just my thought's  ;D

Once you have one you will wonder how you ever traveled without it.  Good Luck with your search.

Wayne, you're absolutely right. My CFO=BSR. After having to borrow a hairdryer in MV every morning, she is convinced! You are also right about not matching the color , well maybe. It sure would be nice & not cost all that much to repaint after the next bike. Which leads me to the next point which is, after seriously thinking about this, I probably will keep this for more than just one bike. This is now the main reason I am considering a new one rather than a used unit.

AJ, I had a perfectly good black '99 Turbo +II which 'matched' the black '99 ultra I had.  But I like my B&O jester so much I just wanted a trailer color matched to it.  I can't keep any bike I've owned bone stock.  Like many on this site I have made (and no doubt will make more) significant changes to get it the way I want it and plan to keep it for many years.  And I wanted my trailer to match.  I'm actually a frugal sort of guy but this is my passion and I just decided to get what I wanted and be done with it.  That's my $.02 worth.

Jerry, I guess that means that you don't want to sell me your trailer?
