Ugly Exhaust Bracket
« on: February 28, 2007, 07:16:07 PM »

I got tired of the ugly exhaust bracket under the tranny, so I took mine off, smoothed all the stamping marks out and took it to a local powder coater, and this is the result. I was impressed with how much of a difference it made, blending in now, instead of sticking out like a sore thumb.

I also took the ugly greenish colored detachable brackets, cut off the portion for the air shock valves, smoothed off all of the rough edges and had them done as well.

Thanks Tony. They sure looked a lot cleaner before I tried to take a picture of them with flash. Man they look nasty!

As far as next winter's project, I don't know. I bought a CVO because it was already done, and I wouldn't have to do anything except the standard intake / exhaust stuff. It's already got everything done to it that any sane person would want.

There must be a flaw in that logic someplace, I just can't put my finger on it.  :confused5:

Chief,
I admire your work and tenacity - every bolt!!!  Looks fantastic.  You have to consider that at least you won't have to worry about parts falling off.  And even if something does, you'll be able to find the guy who did the work and kick his backside... :huepfenlol2:.
I'm sure you'll find "something" to else to do to the CUSE.  Of course you'll probably get lots of help from your friends here!

Thanks again Tony. I'm starting to run out of ugly weather here in GA, so its time to button her up and put some more miles on 'er.  Looking forward to hearing the Rineharts and spreading the message of bling.

You did an outstanding job.    :2vrolijk_21: Powder coat is pretty reasonable, isn't it? What's next?  :)
