Anyone ever hear a voice say Low Battery
« on: April 06, 2019, 11:19:25 PM »

I have a 2013 CVO Road King FLHRSE5 except I can't find any info on a voice warning that says Low Battery.
Sometimes when I turn the key switch on and turn the kill switch on while backing out my garage I hear Low Battery after starting.
I do keep it on a battery tender most of the year, especially winter months.
I have replaced the alarm/siren 9v battery, key fob battery and the main 12v battery but still hear Low battery on occasion.
I'm thinking perhaps it's a normal warning if not started in like 5 seconds after flipping the kill switch?
Any ideas?

I'm not aware of any voice warnings on a stock 2013 Harley.  Does this bike have any aftermarket devices installed that might have a low battery warning, such as an audio device or tire pressure monitor or whatever?

Verbal alarm on a security system (not Harley's - maybe a home security or bike security system?)) or a smoke alarm in your garage that "wakes up & talks" when you fire up your bike.

Or your bike is haunted by a memory of a low battery in it's past & is so troubled it tells you it's battery is low.

Thanks Jerry, you got me thinking! No aftermarket devices but this bike does have an Odd Factory installed Audio system. It has a iPod Nano & Amp in the left saddlebag that gets charged by the bike! The nano was brand new from the factory when I purchased bike in 2017 so I downloaded songs and been using that since! I bet the iPod is causing the Low Battery Voices being it's going on 6 years old! Not much info out their on these iPod Audio systems, think they only in 2013 & 2014 CVO Road Kings?

And this audio system doesn't have a radio but has a Aux connector for phone but never tried that!

Thanks ISKI but the voice is definitely coming from the bike! My GF even heard it yesterday! I believe it may be a low battery in my iPod audio system? And no check engine light flashing but not even sure how to retrieve any DTC's! My factory shop manuals are confusing! They're listed in a 2013 Touring Service manual & also have a FLHRSE5 supplement. And nothing on the iPod audio systems! Ugh!

Maybe it's the motorcycle version of Stephen King's "Christine".

My 2013 CVO Ultra Classic hasn't started talking to me yet.  But Babe has assured me that when it does for me not to worry about it.....that she'll find a nice care home for me and visit at least once a year.

Try unplugging the iPod and see if it still does it.

Sent from my boring Droid phone.

I have the 2013 CVO Road King myself and it is the IPOD in the left saddlebag that is saying Low Battery over your sound system.
