The only item I need to check is:  Recall Notice: 0900: PROD.CMP.'06 FL TOURING IGN.SW.  Suppose I'll mosey over to Columbia this weekend and gitrdun.
I think that is the recall on the switch, there is a thread here on that issue, cant remember the issue, something to do with the fork lock I think ::)hadd mine replaced months ago on same recall

Stopped by my local dealer today while I was out riding. He checked and my bike is subject to the recall on the regulator but no chrome units are available yet. He put me on the list and said it would probably be a couple weeks until they have them.

I spoke to the service manager at my local dealer today.  Same story - the MOCO sent them plenty of black ones, but no chrome.  They've got mine on order.  I wonder how many back orders will be created by the demand.

Have a question about the voltage regulator recall - My brother call and ask me to see if any one had their light bulbs actually blow out and could this be a voltage regulator problem - He just made a 3000 mile trip on his Heritage Classic 06 model and had this happen to some halogen lites on his bike.

No problem with bulbs here.

Has anyone actually gotten a regulator in chrome yet on the recall?

My bike is at Bumpus H-D now.  I had my D&D changed out from a standard muffler to a quiet muffler.  I was going to pick it up, but told them to just hang on to it until they could change out the voltage regulator.  It's been a couple of weeks now and still no chrome voltage regulators.  They had mentioned that it might be in tomorrow.  I'll believe it when the call and tell me that it's installed on the bike.

Pretty unbelieveable isn't it Al?  You have to wonder if anyone at the MoCo even figured on the thousands of CVO's they built needing the chrome one.  Most likely not since they left us out in the cold on this one.  Either that or they made a conscious decision to leave us until last and build the bulk of stock ones first.

Either way we get

Either way we get "screwed" picture omitted

Kaz' bike has the 12 disk CD changer- When I bought from P&A catalog I asked SJ to install- they checked "with the factory" and said it can't go in her bike...so I installed myself and showed to them- Response?  :nixweiss:
Like all CD changers, it finally jammed with a CD in it (5 years later...).  I asked SJ HD what to do...They said "no idea, call the factory..."
This case MOCO Customer Service said it needs to go to RSI but only dealers are allowed....I got the number and called, they RMA'd it, I sent it, and $135 later and 1 week I had a new unit in my hands!  :pepper: (Kaz) was happy,  :mango: (me) was happy!

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There DOES need to be a HD sponsored CS web site though!!

You have got to be chittin' me Al.  You being an IT kind of guy know that it is impossible to convert a "two cans and a string" system directly over to an internet provided, same as any 8 year old could do, CS site.

Holy chit man, then they'd know just how bad it is out here.

It does seem to be that they really don't WANT to know our problems sometimes....The MOCO probably got too big for the good ol' boys running it- Now the President is a damn bean counter....(no offense intended to members of THIS site...but the President of HD?)

He sure has lots of beans......

The chief executive officer of motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson Inc. received compensation last year that the company valued at $4.25 million, according to a regulatory filing Wednesday.

I'm still waiting for a chrome regulator for my CUSE.  The dealer has had it on order now for at least a couple of weeks.

Anyone get their regulator in chrome yet?

I checked today and the mgr said he was going to check directly with the MoCo because it looked like nothing was happening with the order.
