apitts, my gawd, your bike looks just like mine.  I got mine last Thursday and it looks as if you won't get yours until tomorrow.  Hope it works out.

Freedom update:  Rather than send me a milled brake pedal, Mark called and stated that they tweaked the header pipes so fitment will no longer be a problem with the stock billet brake lever.  He did several sets and put them aside for SEEG owners.  He promised bolt on convenience and low 100's for hp and torque.  We'll see; pipes, SE air filter, and PC with "custom" map shipped on Friday and should be here mid-week.

I have been been reading all this and near the edge for some time.  Thanks Dan, [smiley=beerchug.gif] I think I'm just about ready to jump on the "Freedom Train."  Let us Know how the new pipes fit when you get them on.

hdnot,
The freedoms are modified rineharts and have a larger opening in the baffle so the sound is similar but less restricted.

Alright.  Had great luck following the discussions on this site.  Done the HD tunes, McEwan oil temp gauge.  Just spoke w/Brad and ordered the Freedom pipe kit.  Nothin's too good for my baby.

Yes,
However you will have to talk to Brad Yuill and tell him what size baffle(2-1/2", 2-1/4",2") you currently have so that he can advise you with what to use.

I got my Freedom pipes,Se air filter and PCIII last Tuesday, Mar.8 and slapped them on that evening.  I've got a little over 500 miles on the pipes and can say they work well.  Both sound and performance have improved.  The engine hits the rev limiter much more quickly and except for some loping at idle the bike runs cleaner and crisper.  I was a little surprised not to lose much, if any bottom end.  I had Rineharts on my Stage II 95" build and had to go to the 2" baffles to move the torque curve down.

The pipes came from Freedom "tweaked" to account for the billet brake lever on the SEEG's.  The tweak amounted to a strategically placed ding on the front header pipe.  The heat shield had been ground down for fitment purposes but I needed to grind on it some more.  Not a big deal but it took several trips to the grinder to get it right.  The hardest part of the install was getting the old pipes off.  The new ones went on without any problems except for the previously mentioned heat shield fitment at the rear brake pedal.  Get a decent spring puller for the heat shields.  I used one that came in a KTM tool kit from my dirt bike days and had no problems whatsoever.

I was somewhat surprised to receive one of the new paper filter elements with the air filter kit.  I wanted the older oiled filter.  I called Freedom and advised them I would be installing the oiled filter and asked if I needed a re-map.  They said no.  I just found one Sat in Wenatchee and installed it this evening.  Part #29442-99A.  We'll see.

As I mentioned above he bike was loping at idle.  I added a little fuel (went from a -14 at 5% throttle to a -9) and that seemed to help.  About half way through a 500 mile weekend run the bike didn't want to drop back down to a normal idle (about 1000 rpm), seemed to want to hover around 100-200 rpm's higher.  It may just be a cable issue.  If not I'll go back and install the Freedom map and see if putting it back to their suggested settings makes any difference.

My wife rode my (now hers) RKC this weekend.  Several times when she was in the lead and went to pass I ran right up her azz.  She claims she had the throttle pinned in 4th.  If that's so  the SEEG is deceptively fast.  Plenty of power everywhere in the power band.  So far so good.  I'm happy!

Anybody compared the end caps on the freedom pipes to the end caps on the 05 SEEG?  I'm looking for a cleaner look than the Freedom/Reno advertisement.  Prefer the caps on the SEEG's dresser pipes but if I can't make 'em fit, I'll just turn the freedom caps over and tap a couple holes for screws like I remember seeing earlier in the thread.  Just a thought.

If you don't want to look at the logo take the left one and put it on the right and vice versa and you are done no holes to drill and tap.

Nice tip, Magoo!!  You can also buy replacement Rinehart caps in either the traditional Rinehart black/purple or chrome.  Cost of the Rinehart caps was around $80-$100 as I recall.  Personally, I like the idea of swapping sides.
