Yes it is.  Just a bit north of Hot Springs (and up a nice stretch Hwy 7) where a big bunch of us will be in September.

Fishing? ;D

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at the Kury stuff. Now there's more choices. What about these?   http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=3249   I'm not sure I know what they'll look like on the bike. But they look interesting. Anyone seen them? Here we go. A project out of a stupid highway peg clamp. Things were much easier when they only made one kind of everything! ;) Hoist! 8)

Thought those looked familiar.  That number 4526 in the photo is the one on my bike.  Worked from 2 year old memory in the post above.

Hey Gang, I'm relocating my passenger pegs to use for Engine Guard Highway Pegs, For mounting, I was looking at:

50830-07 Adjustable Highway Peg Mounting Kit- Angled-Short   http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448764516&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302290695&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302290695&bmUID=1174260120459&bmLocale=en_US

Has anyone ever used this type before? With only a 32" inseam, the regular Engine Guard Clamps aways left the Highway Pegs a little too far away. I don't need them back too much, but just behind the Engine Guards is still a little too far.  I thought these would take care of that. Any other recommendations. I want to make sure that they can be installed, so that when folded up, they are completely within the Engine Guard. Thanks!

I know that mine are the short angled ones, but the part number on mine is different.  They came off my 02 Ultra.  I have a 33" inseam, and they work well for me.  I fear that if I had the long angled ones, my knees would be in my chin.

I too have the short angle version. I love them, My inseam is 34". heel on the floor boards and toes on the pegs, or streched out with the foor on the pegs. They work great!

Thanks for the reply and link Jim. It's difficult trying to visualize all these mounts and which one will fit me best. I think I better check them out in person, sitting on the bike. I have a list of like six ones now. Long, short, offset, curvy. It's easier to pick a cam! ;) Hoist! 8)

Hoist - I had 50929-03 on the Heritage and they suited me fine with a 31" inseam. The numerous fitting positions do allow you to adjust to your exact requirements. I took them off the heritage and intend to fit them on the SERK. I do notice that there has been a Part# change and the 2007 book has them as 50832-07.

Probably a very good idea, Howie..............surely you know that.  We've all been doing this long enough to know that scooter comfort items are no different than clothes................ya gotta try 'em on before you commit. :2vrolijk_21:

Hey Howie,

It looks like I'm a little late getting to this party, but here is my .02 on this.  I had the short angle brackets on my Ultra, and they were fine.  Since I also suffer from a vertically challenged inseam (31"), I decided to try the long angle on the new bike.  It took quite a bit of trial and error, but I finally got them set perfectly for me and really like them much better than the shorter ones.

I might have missed it if you mentioned it, but are you putting passenger floor boards on to replace the pegs?  It seems as though several are.  I decided not to since I won't have many passengers on this bike so I didn't see any reason to spend the extra money.  Those $$$ are going somewhere else.  I think you referred to it as "OPD."

Later,
Ghost
