I had one on my 03 SERK and it worked very well.  But I made some changes and needed to alter my timing so I removed it and installed a SERT.  I'm still working with that to get it right.  I personally think they work very well for fuel management but you can't alter timing with them.  If you are interested in one, I'd be willing to sell mine for a considerable discount.  It was on the bike for about 3-4 months before I went to the SERT.  If interested send me an email:  sdavis49 @ agristar.net

It seems that this product is trying to compare itself to the Zippers Auto Tune.  I looked at the TErry website to try and find a tuning manual, but there was none to be found. Therefore I cannot say one way or the other is this will solve a problem regarding cooling. On the 110's this was/is a problem. For me, that issue is old news and I fixed it with a Zippers unit.  I am curious how the Terry works, how it regulates fuel, and if there are manual adjustments. Without this info, their stated claims are difficult to analyze.

I know that there are no manual adjustments on it and it tunes by the use of an O2 sensor, but how it does that, I don't know.  They may be comparing themselves to the Zippers unit, but the Terry TV was out long before the Zippers unit was.  I would assume from what I know, that the Zippers unit is a little better unit, but it also costs considerably more.  Kind of depends on what you need the units to do.

My main complaint with the TV set-up is that you used to have to splice into the wiring harness to install it. I don't know if that is still the case. That would be a deal killer for me. Plus, it was only a single sensor kit.

Yeh, I agree with you on that.  It's a pain to install and remove.  A plug and play would be much better.

From what I understand it is a plug and play for 07.  What is the Zippers unit. i need simple. i think the TV checks the O2 sensors 17 times per second and is constantly programming . TV says that it does flatten out the A/F mixture. Thanks Billy

You all have to understand that an auto tuning feature does one thing, and one thing only. It will automatically tune to the parameters you have created, or bought or had a map expert create.  Zippers provides really well done maps for most applications. And thast is part of the service and product support, included! Lets call these stock maps.  By plugging in the auto tune and downloading the map, the engine will follow automatically to that tuning setup.

The Terry, and Wego, and others, you are on your own.  You are starting with a blank slate, and have to make your own maps.  I would leave that type of intricate design to a Harry or his clone if you elect to go non Zippers.

Back to the Zippers, well, once you are close with the map, you can then make changes on them, and the engine will happily follow along to the new settings.

So watch out for claims of auto tuners. You have to tell it what to auto tune to.

... kind of...

I can't speak for Terry's, but with the PC that I am running, I started with the CVO 110 SE A/C Rinehart map, not from scratch. I use the WEGO to analyze the exhaust gases and report on the actual AFR produced by the motor. Adjustments are made to the PC map if necessary.

This is the same process used on a dyno when tuning a PC or SERT. Adjust, Run, Analyze and repeat until happy. I'm just not lucky enough to have a basement dyno, so I have to ride it for the run portion.

Exactly,

The Power Commander has map choices, so does SERT and Zippers.  The rest not sure of, but maps make life easier with those base points.

Chief, Tigertr1 sent me a PCIII map for our setup awhile back. I've got it on a USB disk I can't find right now. If you ask him, or he sees this, I'm sure he'll forward it to you. He said a friend that was a tuner did it for his personal bike.

I guess the confusion lies in what the WEGO is, and what it does. It's not a fuel management device like the SERT or Power Commander, but instead, a stand alone device used to measure engine parameters and exhaust AFR. With that data, and the Power Commander or SERT software, you can change the maps for those devices, and then run the bike to check your results.

AJ,

I'd really like to see it. Do you know if its any different than the one Dynojet has out for our same set up?

Right on Cheif. I was getting a little ahead of myself on that comment, becasue TwinTec is coming out with their own version of an autotuner in a few to 6 months.
