You all have to understand that an auto tuning feature does one thing, and one thing only. It will automatically tune to the parameters you have created, or bought or had a map expert create. Zippers provides really well done maps for most applications. And thast is part of the service and product support, included! Lets call these stock maps. By plugging in the auto tune and downloading the map, the engine will follow automatically to that tuning setup.
The Terry, and Wego, and others, you are on your own. You are starting with a blank slate, and have to make your own maps. I would leave that type of intricate design to a Harry or his clone if you elect to go non Zippers.
Back to the Zippers, well, once you are close with the map, you can then make changes on them, and the engine will happily follow along to the new settings.
So watch out for claims of auto tuners. You have to tell it what to auto tune to.
