Wont pick up my 08 until later this week, but as I understand it has profile susp on rear only. Seems like most of the scraping is at front of footboards anyway so would raising rear be of any consequence? Hoist, when you are two-up do ou notice any reduction in lean angle available?

Of 5 RK's I've had since '95, the SERK3 had noticeably less clearance than my 4 previous std. versions. That's why I wanted to put it back. There was much more bottoming out and I had to pump up the shocks much higher than std. version. The bike is now back to normal and feels much better. 2-up or solo doesn't matter. It's better across the board. It's not recommended by Traxxion to have different front and rear heights, but if you do, it's better to have a shorter rear than the opposite. ;)

I've read alot about suspension height. Does anyone actually know what the lean angle difference is by raising or lowering. I really like the lowered look front matching stock lowered SERK ride height. Trying to decide if raising rear to match front is even noticeable on the road, or should I lower the front too match the rear. It really seems to me that with the suspension not sagging under load, that ground clearance might wind up the same as stock non-se RK? But then again I'm no engineer. :confused5:

According to the current CVO specs, the SERK has lean angles of 31.2/28 and the CUSE is 30/32.

I don't understand how the CUSE can have less left lean than the lowered SERK, but that's what the spec sheet says on H-d.com.

P.S. Twojay, from Lake Charles, LA, is up at Traxxion getting his gorgeous '07 SERK done today.

Hey Hoist, or Max @ Traxxion. I have Legend on the rear of my glide. Would that be a problem? I'm putting  the traxxion upgrade in this winter. I know the front is lowered but I'll be putting back to stock height w/ the traxxion
Thanks, Shrty

Since I've got Legends on the back of my SEUC, I'll take a stab at this....the AK-20's work just fine with the Legends.  I have the Legends on my bike for the height adjustment when I'm walking the bike around, plus they ride pretty well loaded.  You will be fine with that combo.  I ride with the Legends extended to full height 90% of the time.

When I was at the Traxxion shop yesterday there was an issue regarding whether the front end of my 07 SERK was at stock height or had been lowered at the factory as indicated by Harley. At first Traxxion thought bike was at standard height because, as I understood it my bike had a "standard" length damper rod in it.  Apparently Harley had, in the past, used a shorter damper rod on bikes when they lowered the  front end. However Traxxion later realized that my 07 SERK had been lowered at the factory but now HD was using a shorter lower fork rather than a shorter damper rod. Just thought I would let you know in case the issue came up again.

Now that you've had some time to recover from the trip, how do you like the new front-end?

I have had some people ask me about the Traxxion work done on the two dressers.
The ride (2000 miles) to Hot Springs and to the beach this weekend and to Wilmington (700 miles) for a total of 2700 miles since doing the work has me convinced it's the best money I have ever spent on a dresser. As much as I like horsepower, ride quality is with you whether your going fast or slow.
I wanted to post this invoice so others can see what the cost are for doing this work.
Please keep in mind this was for two bikes.
The price quoted on the Traxxion website is for the work if you send them the forks. It does not cover showing up at their door and having them tear the front end down and then doing the work.
In my book it's very expensive but what is really the price value of the piece of mind this work gives? For me it's worth every dime.

I will do it again when the Road Glide comes home!

Click on the invoice to make it larger and easier to read.

Just to add my .02 worth.  Debbie and I just got back from a 5500 mile trip with newly installed Traxxion struts on my FLTR.  As usual, we had every space full to the max.  To say that I was pleased would be an understatement,  I thought I was on a different bike!  No more front end dive, no instability on corners, even deeply grooved roads weren't as much of a problem.  Debbie immediately noticed the improvement.  Rather than ramble on, let me just say that I wish I had done this on my past rides and will definitely do the upgrade on any future bikes.  Yes, it is expensive but it is the most bang for the buck I've ever gotten!

Glad you are enjoying the front end!!  It's one of those curse/blessing things, because once you have them on the bike, you've got to have them on every bike from this point forward.  It's money very well spent, IMO.
