I got the install completed this morning on my '07 FLHTC and all I can say is WOW!  It's as if there was no dampening at all with the stock setup.  You really have no idea how bad the stock setup is until you ride with these.  This is an upgrade, that for me, was totally worth the investment.

That's the same reaction Terry and I had that day in the Georgia sun.  You quickly get used to it and just love having it in place.  That's when your bike starts feeling normal and all the others feel like sows rather than Hogs.

You guys are killing me with this. I have to wait til Sept for mine! :( Maybe the SERK will be fixed by then. actually, I'm giving them 2 weeks more, that's it. NYS has a Lemon Law. If they can't fix a W.....ty problem within 30 days, they have to refund your money. Can I still be in the club when I get rid of that SERK and get my 124" Rucker Road King with 200 rear tire, 6-speed and ABS brakes. I'm almost hoping they don't fix it! That Rucker looks like a sweet bike! What the hell did that have to do with suspension. I told you you guys were killing me here! ;D Hoist! 8)

Hoist

Hubbard and Otis decide who joins HBRR.
I just administer the testing for the final exam.
Low score is 135X5, high score is 147X10.
No one has scored above 147X10.
But it's about time for Hub to spend some money, so who knows how long 147 will remain.
The range is narrow but the rewards are great!

I'm sure the Rucker will need the same mod anyway. ::)

Hoist,

Why wait? Take advantage of the two weeks, pop the tubes out and send them down. By time the primary is put back together, you'll have the legs back.

Remember? Multi-task.

That's the way to think Chief.  I sent mine on the 5th and they arrive here on the 23rd.  I'd go for it Howie.  Sure sounds to be worthwhile.

Unfortunately at the rate Howie's is going he could pull the legs, get them bike, still not have the SERK anywhere near ready and then suffer a grevious personal injury because he broke his ass after riding with a unicycle wheel mounted between the new forks because he just couldn't bear not getting to try them out somehow.

But Don, as long as it keeps the 2 YR Warranty  :ROFLOL:

Ok, we don't get to pick on Howie anymore (today).  Just got off the phone with him and he's on the side of the road in Pennsylvania during what was his ride home.  Timing plug came out of the side of the motor.

Fortunately only lost a bit of oil so internals should be safe.  Equally as fortunately a good samaritan stopped when he saw Howie and is now on the way to a bike shop for a new plug and some oil.  Now just have to hope they can get parts to make at least a temporary repair.

Hopefully he'll be up and running for the remainder of the trip home today.  But it still sucks when you break down far from home.  So no one picks on Howie anymore (until he gets home).

HD...really glad you like the new forks.  The difference really is amazing and it's hard to understand until you've actually felt it.  Enjoy what amounts to a different bike now  :2vrolijk_21:

That really does suck, you sure wish it never happened to anyone.  Howie's a trooper though and if anyone will get it patched and running Howie will.  I wish him all the best with the repair and ride home.

Just spoke with him again.  He's managed a temporary fix that got him on the move again.  Sounded like it would hold up ok for the remainder of the trip in.  If so he'll probably make it in around dusk.  Keep your respective fingers crossed and hope for a tail wind.
