Jerry....I think it seems taller to you because it's not sagging in the front end like it used to with just the bikes own weight.  We were using up an inch or more of our suspension in the front just sitting on the bike.

I saw their spring/height/fluid spreadsheet they use to set the forks up.  Were ALL EG's (not just the SE's) in 04/05 lowered an inch?  I ask because they had a different spring for those bikes.  I think all the Ultras have been the same throughout model years, regardless of CVO/nonCVO.

Spyder...when you got the Legends, did you get them lower to match the stock suspension on your SEEG, or how did you handle that situation?

Terry, it's my understanding that only the SEEG in '04 had the one inch lowered front suspension and the lowered rear shocks as standard equipment.  I traded out my lower rear shocks while still new and had the dealership order the Legends and install prior to delivery.  So, I'm just guessing that there is only one option available in the Legends for that year electraglide regardless of CVO or not.  I remember that the Legends when slammed as low as possible were about 2+ inches lower than the shorter shocks that came on the '04 SEEG.  I love being able to ride it either way....that's worth the $$$ for a ole chopper pilot that was use to the hardtail 'in the weeds' scooter.  And, like you say, it makes moving that heavy B**** around, esp. in the hills.  :2vrolijk_21: har!  :drink: spyder

Two reasons to ask that...one was just to satisfy my curiousity about the other EG's, and the other was to ask you if, when you have the Legends pumped all the way up, do you think any advantage would be gained if you had Traxxion (if you do that mod) put the front end back up to 13" which is where the Legends end up (approximately).  Or have you noticed any adverse handling having the rear end a bit higher than the front?  In effect, even if you had the Traxxion set up to SEEG height, it doesn't settle, so you'd probably be fine as is.

My guess (that's all it is) would be that the higher front end would handle better.  It's just that I don't want the scooter any higher.  I've managed to ride it ok in the twistys w/ it set up like it is......it's still so much better than some of the other scooters I've managed to keep on the pavement.  :nervous: har!  :drink: spyder

Terry, I think you are probably correct.  I can only tell a very slight difference.

Spyder,

I think both the 04 and 05's were lowered and I was thinking it was 1.5 inches.  My 05 is definitely lower than my 06.

Yes, Bob, I think that's right.....I meant that only the SEEG in '04 was lowered compared to other electraglides that year.  I've got to learn to write more clearly.  :-[ har!   :drink:spyder

I touched bases with Dan at Traxxion today about the possibility of getting a shorter set of the AK-20's as I hadn't seen any posts on this and some had commented the regulars sat a bit taller.

"We can make them any length you want. We can complete the work in a few
hours, so we can do this on a while you wait basis."

Sounds as though they are getting the process wired , I'll be hooking up with them in the fall when life calms down a bit.

Thanks for the reviews guys.

This road trip on the Posse Ride we started July 11th is first time HQ has been on the bike since I did the Traxxion front cartridge system and it really made a huge difference in our ride.  First day out all interstate riding and I was running 80 most of the time.  Usually if I venture much over 70 she is tapping me on the shoulder to slow down.
When I asked why not this time she replied that the ride just felt so much more solid and stable to her that she was not concerned.  WOW that says a lot.

And day two on the BRP even thought we took it easy what with the trailer and didn't really push it at all I could still tell a hugh improvement in the handling.

This upgrade is a must in my opinion.  Glad I did it - thanks TC and 2Lane, you guys rock.

Glad to hear this from you, my only concern with the system was the performance while two-up.

There's no concern in ANY area with this upgrade. It's one of the best upgrades you can EVER do to and FL! ;) Hoist! 8)

Not sure what the concern you're interested in might be.  It really is just better across the board.  What area of the bikes handling are you curious about that would be impacted two up?

Sorry dOOd, I should not have stated a concern, just curious on what everyone had to say about two-up is all.
