I guess everybody has their preference.
I had a Comfort Stitch seat on my 02 Ultra Classic and so I put one on my 04 SEEG when I got it. The stock SEEG seat was very hard but it didn't bother me like the Comfort Stitch however, my wife didn't like it. I contacted Corbin and they wanted to borrow my bike for a week to make a seat pan for the SEEG upon which they'd give me the seat of my choice.
I did that and got the dual tourer with seat heaters and a blue flame stitch pattern (to match the blue flames on my bike). Got the seat and I loved it. While the Comfort Stitch is comfortable for the first couple of hours, eventually we'd both end up with the burning in the butt, tailbone issues (no support under all that cush), etc. So I liked the Corbin.......while being the hardest seat I've ever set on (I have five different seats hanging in my garage), the wife (ex-wife now) wouldn't ride a hundred miles on it.
Another member of this site, Van, ordered a Corbin dual tour but didn't like it because it moved him back too far from the bars. I'm 6'4" and so he offered it to me to "try out". I did try it.......on our ocean to ocean ride last June. I rode all the way across this country before I realized that my butt never became an issue for me.......no burning, no tail bone ache, nothing at all...........just mile after mile after mile of comfortable riding.
Don't ask me to explain how such a hard seat can be so comfortable because I don't know........what I do know is that all my issues went away. My girlfriend loves it, too. The Corbin hasn't came off of my bike and I haven't looked back since. I did sell my Comfort Stitch seat to a member of this site and I hope that he is happier with it then I was.
