I have a 2008 FLHRSE4 with electronic throttle control. I got hit and the frame was damaged so insurance totaled the bike, but I kept it as salvage.

What I'm thinking of doing is getting another RK and moving the 110 engine, transmission, etc from the FLHRSE4 to it. However, I've never been a fan of the ETC so if I were to do this, what would be involved with making a cabled throttle work with it, including cruise control?

First thought is not possible.  But assuming that's incorrect you'd need to be able to disable all throttle control functions in the ECM and the relationship between fuel delivery and the rest of the engine parameters.  I can't imagine that being something the system can handle.  But....

But, if it were, you then need different everything at the handlebar for the parts to accept the throttle and idle cabl.....

Wait, nope, never mind.  Started to list throttle body, cables, etc (lots of etc) but it won't fly.  The sensors at the throttle body are a problem.  The cruise control is built in to the ECM on your 2008 and not with the cabled bikes, the.... the list is too long to type up.  For reasons both physical and electronic/software, just go with "nope."
