Heading north to pick up the "Jester" Updated with Pics!!

On Friday, April 13th (uh-oh), I will be leaving to head up to Four Rivers HD to pick up my B/O SE Ultra.  One  big surprise is that my 13 (almost 14) year old daughter wants to ride up with me to pick up the new familly member.  She is a great equestrian (English Hunter-Jumper) rider, but has nothing to do with motorcycles.  I think she just wants to spend some time with her old man :2vrolijk_21:.  It is a 661 mile trip, each way, to Paducah, KY from my residence in Southlake, TX. 

I just need to call Bubba in the a.m. to make sure we are a go!  We seem to be having some trouble on what map to download to get her to run during the break in period.  I hope they resolved it on Thursday so she will run like a champ when I pick her up.

I'll take the camera and document the trip.  Bad news is I start 100 miles from my house as I have been in an offsite meeting all week, and must drive home in the a.m., pick up the trailer, and then head to the Bluegrass state.

Ken/Barry,

If you pick this up, give me a call on my cell.  I am going to try to make it to Paducah, but if I get tired, I may have to pull up a little short on Friday night.  I'll be at the store first thing Saturday morning to sign the papers, sign over the check, inspect the ride, and head south.  Call me if you want to hook up.

I hope she is in great shape.  Long time coming.  Stay tuned.

Congrats on the new delivery and the fact your daughter wants anything to do with you at 14.  Although I guess daughters do like being with dad, she undoubtedly has you wrapped around her little finger I am sure.

Have a safe trip and don't push to get there Friday.  If you do great but Saturday morning will give you all day to go over the bike and make sure all is right before you take delivery.

Have a safe and enjoyable trip.  Enjoy the time with your daughter, they grow up so fast.  Congrats on getting the bike.  Everything will be great when you get there.

Barry's daughter seemed to have a great time with all of us in Maggie Valley last year.

Got home about 10:45 p.m. :o  10 hours of driving with a few stops along the way.  The bike looks great and it was a pleasure meeting you and your staff!  I'll post more in the a.m. and some pics.   Over 1300 miles in  less than 48 hours and I am beat.

Can't wait to dig in to the bike in the morning.  Lots of stuff to learn on this one.
