Got 'em coming guys...you know I ain't gonna' leave some naked assed bracket hanging off the back of my scooter.  Ordered those, a chrome regulator cover for the Vrod (the only thing I could find it didn't already have), and new rain jacket from Charlies.

Also have the chrome axle cover coming from Puzzled.... :2vrolijk_21:

Well I'm back from Florida and ready to get the bike back home too.  Call from the dealership says it's ready to go.  Get my stuff together, helmet...check, leather jacket....check, camera....check, cell phone....check no leave it no take it what if....double check.

I get one of the guys to drop me off and pay for the service and work as they call down for someone to run the bike up front from the basement service area.

After five minutes I know I'm screwed.  I ask the dispatcher to call down and see what's up.  Turn signals aren't operating, crap, that's why it's still here from before I left.  Oh well, there looking at it.  Another five minutes, ask again, service manager is coming to let me know what's up.

Evidently when we lowered the bike......whoa, we didn't lower it, the 440's are stock height.  Oh....well, the rear wire loom is rubbing on the tire and rubbed through and shorted out when they washed the bike.

Great, no really great I exclaim.  You have obviously found the reason why when I rode to Nelson on the pre-run last summer I kept blowing fuses.  We discuss the symptoms etc, and the fact that when I bring in the bike something is always in the ditch when I get it back after they wash it.

I never flood the bike with water like they do when they wash it and something always would be shorted etc. when they did.  So, today hopefully after the repairs to the wiring, I'll finally be able to get it picked up and go for a ride.

Good news is the tech's think it rides great with the Traxxion mods and the 440's.  I'll once again be ready with the aforementioned gear and for sure I'll have the camera since  :worthless:

Roger-
I hate to hear your problems.  You're ready to ride and this crops up.  At least they know what's wrong.  Hope they can get it going for you so you can ride and tell us what you think.  The more I ride my 05,  I am learning to appreciate the Traxxions in different ways such as slow speed manuvering, etc..  Bob

Thanks Bob, I think we'll be good to go today and I was actually happy they tracked down the short yesterday "finally and conclusively" after getting the short from washing it.  It would have been one of the lingering nagging problems that would have continued to be intermittant and most likely only when two up which would have meant an issue when Cindy was along which is always made more intense with a worry wart looking over your shoulder.

Anyway, today is supposed to be nicer than yesterday on through the weekend so I may get some riding time in although Cindy is getting a surprise visit from her three brothers tonight when she gets to the airport to pick up the oldest one who called her to say he was coming to town and needed a place to stay.  She doesn't know it's all three.

Anyway, I may need to get out of here for awhile just to have some down time without them.  If not the bike can wait until next week, but I think I'll get some time today anyway.

Well, my day got busy and went to heck on me so I didn't get to ride, but the bike is back and running well.

In the throws of all of this I double checked and they installed 12" shocks after I had asked them to assure me we would be stock height.  So the 13's are on order and will be swapped out since the front forks are stock height from Traxx.

Check out this pic and tell me where I have the 3M installed........

Here's a shot with just running lights on the back with the street glide extension, I really like the look and light.

Like the look also Roger.  Very nice.  Here's one more thing to consider.  Whenever I get around to getting mine painted and installed have a pair of these.  Will mount one vertically just below center in each side cover.  Will use the non-sequential version as that Cylon Centurion's eyeball effect is just stupid looking.  Will give a simple to hook up but very effective addition of a bright constant running light and a brake light that first flashes then goes solid.

I like it clean and think it is approaching clutter, may have to look at some indirect lighting with the LED's.

I keep wondering about under the lip of the lid, but I don't think I have the clearance there.

I also have decided to tell the HD shop to order the 13" progressives that were originally ordered to maintain stock height.

Well I posted on the Traxxion thread my early impressions with the 440's and the Traxx front forks.

Now with several hundred miles on the bike I am still feeling the WOW factor.

It tracks super and the suspension is really an improvement over the stock set up.

I believe it is well worth the money for the conversion at Traxxion and the investment in the rear shocks as well, not to mention the True Track stuff.

Well, if you have followed the other thread you know I have had continuing issues with the electricals.  I got the bike back and so far so good.

However, I thought I'd update the bits and Pisces I had added this time around.  B B aka SPIDERMAN sold me an Adjure axle he had laying around to go with my BAH end caps and I had the MoCo heat deflectors installed as well.
