How do you get the Zumo 550 to repeat a voice direction???  Yes - I have read the instruction book - well sorta...
This is what I've found out courtesy of the Zumo Forum...

Touch the next turn distance on the lower right
Yes, tap the bottom right button and you'll see the directions written and hear them again.

If someone tries these before I do let us know if they work.

OK, another question.  For ya'll using the cigarette power plug method, does that stay in pretty good or does it vibrate out?  I just got my Zumo and debating on how to wire it up - easy way or pull the fairing.

Just finished two thousand miles with it plugged in, have not had a problem.
Been in rain yesterday and 40 degrees today, used the plug from West Marine has a snug fit. :2vrolijk_21:

Mine stayed very well in Sedona, which was my first trip mileage and first use of it.

Mine has never fell out. Just got back from 1500 + miles with no problems. Bought my 12v plug at Radio Shack. Has a little green light so I know that it has power.

I also have the radio shack plug with the green light and no problems here. It's short enough to not hit the tank at full left. How about the west marine plug, is it  short enough also? (we have some gerbing plugs and they hit the tank) THe Garmin 2610 has a nice fold over plug but it has a speaker intigrated into it.

When I put mine together I just shot a little silicone in the end to seal it for rainy weather. No problems yet and I have been thru all types of down pours.

The West Marine plug is fine, I went with it for the water resistance, but the silicone trick works too.
I was at Americade last week, a vendor who's name I don't remember is working a net hook-up for Gerbing's that mounts on the nut at the top of the Harley horn.
I'm still on the road, I mailed some info home. When I get back I'll check on it. The vendor said he is trying to have it out by Sturgis.

Dang and I thought I got up just to pee. ;D Yes you can Ken. Open up Windows Media Player and look on the top for "Rip", scroll down to format and then you'll see "mp3". Click on that and when you rip the music from your CD it will be in mp3 format.
