Duane;
I do not have the JS jack but the one that I have does work. you need to position it slightly forward but no issues
My bike is sitting on the jack now and will be until the salt is gone. Went out to take a picture of how it sits, didn't bother.
If you move the J&S forward enough to clear the dog bone it will be on the up-rise portion of the tube - if the kickstand wasn't mounted there. You could probably squeeze it in just behind the kickstand, but then the rear portion of the jack will be sitting "on" the dog bone (leading edge).
The J&S stability comes in part due to the distance between the two lift plates being near the maximum span possible and still have the bike sitting level on the jack. And, I don't think I would want to move the weight rearward on the jack.
Watch as you lift the bike, the front wheel is off the ground about 1-3 inches before the rear, depending on how you have the bike loaded.
I t does look like it would be possible to use a 2-by on the rear lift plate and do the lift on the oil pan

But the the center stand would have to be down, and that would interfere with the drain pan made for the J&S jack.
