Actually, I think Don should buy one Harley stand and one Rivco stand so he can do an impartial "road test" and report back to the site. You know, detail the installation of each one and then discuss any differences in the ease of operation, ground clearance, chrome quality, etc.

All kidding aside Chip and I were talking about these things a month or so ago. I was pleading some general ignorance on the topic because I'd simply never used one.
Apparently some do and some don't lift the rear wheel off the ground. If you couldn't even get a wheel off to at least help with cleaning a little I didn't understand any realistic or practical benefit. Suppose as a "show stand." But I don't do that kind of thing.
Hadn't thought of cases like Chip explained where a full garage needs all the room it can get sometimes. With room to spare on the floor and a jack to get their feet off the ground they're still a solution to a problem I don't have.
