For some reason I kept buying rounds! ;D :drink:

Damn,

How did I miss this thread.  I am at Strokers quite a bit.  I would have loved to come down and meet you folks. It is a very cool place to hang, eat, look at some great Big Dogs, American Ironhorse and Big Bear Customs.

Oh, and you are getting pretty close to my next wife Debbie in your picture :D.  She is quite the looker and the rack speaks for itself.  You ought to see her on Lingere (sp) night! :-*

PM me next time you head down.  The cheeseburger and the first cold beer is on me.

If I had known you were coming, I would have baked a cake.  I was there, sorry I missed you.  For some reason I don't mind standing in line to buy a beer, the bartenders are knocked out! Sunday is their big day, if the weather is nice you actually have to hunt for a place to park your scooter.  Rick Fairless used to sell paint for Sherman-Williams, but he always wanted to start a biker bar.  Now it seems everything he touches turns to gold, but he has not let it gone to his head, still just a nice guy and always calls me by my first name. P.S. That is his mother cooking those delicious hamburgers, Rick in turn treats her like the queen that she is.

hotlineguy,
We did have one of "Moms" burgers Saturday, as usual they were great! I wish one of the TV channels would pick up "Texas Hardtails" again. I really liked that show, it used to make my Tuesday night. I know what you are thinking, if that makes his night, he is living a pretty dull life. Not really, I'm just easily amused! ;D :drink:

I'm from Houston but I love visiting Strokers.  Rick Fairless and his family are some of the nicest, most friendly people you will ever met.  I rode up one day for some business and went over to Strokers. I got there about 8pm to drink a beer and i got to meet Rick -- actually I was talking to the bartender and I said this was my first visit and she yelled across the room for Rick to come over. She introduced us and then Rick asked if I wanted to see the store (it had been closed since 7pm).  I told him I didn't want him to do anything special and he replied "grab your beer and come with me".  He told his daughter to come along and he took me to the store, unlocked it, turned on the lights, and showed me his custom bikes!!!  Of course, I spent about $150 on t-shirts for my buds (his daughter dutifully turned on the cash register).  After this we went back over to the bar and he introduced me to his mom and to the young ladies modeling "sleep wear" that night (I didn't know Tuesdays had special entertainment).

I just can't say enough on what a great place this is and what wonderful people they are.  Perhaps we should do a regional GTG there.  He is the dealer we only wish we could support.

Cheers,

Mark

Mark,

You might be on to something here.  We  seem to have a large and growing number of Texas members  :o...I mean folks, and some really great roads.  Perhaps a new thread is in order to determine the interest.
