Had an interesting conversation with my dealer about true duals. He has run them before and thinks they actually add to the problem. Here's why - the left pipe has to make a really sharp turn out of the rear cylinder and he thinks this is more restrictive than stock crossover where exhaust gas can go either direction. He said left side headpipes on TDs he has seen are very blue indicating high heat.
Just wonder what you guys think about this and have experienced. Also from reading above it seems that different pipes, sert/pcIII, etc., may help but these babies are HOT even with that.
I also can't bring myself to remove lowers. I (and exp HQ) just don't like the additional wind buffeting at highway speeds over say 70 mph that you get with them off. Guess I'll have to find some asbestos jeans, lol.
