Does anyone have any trouble with the XM Satellite Radio reception? I have a 2007 SE Ultra Classic and the XM signal is absolutely horrible. It just continues to fade in and out...from 3 bars to nothing. Then no signal for long periods of time. I have taken the back in for the 1k mile service and told them. When I picked the bike up they said they did a software upgrade and the XM worked fine. Of course, I pulled away from the dealer and it works the same as when I took it in...crappy. Not sure whose bike the dealer test drive to try the XM?????? I called the dealer again ... over 2 weeks ago .... they said they had to call the problem in and would get back to me. So, since I still haven't heard from the dealer I called again. Now they are telling me that it could be because I have the Harley windshield bar on my bike and that could be interferring with the XM signal. Now I have to take the bike in again .... they are going to pull the faring and check to see if the XM antenna has moved or slipped or fallen ... and whatever.

Long story ... anyone else have this problem with XM reception? Do you have the metal bar and shield windshield trim?

XM Less in North Carolina

Every now and then, and I mean very rarely, mine will cut out when I go through foliage overhang, like on the Tail of the Dragon.  For the most part I'm very happy with it.  now, if XM and Sirius would hurry up and merge, so we can start getting Sirius channel 14 Classic Vinyl on XM, that would be a great thing.

I far prefer Sirius as well.  Channel 6 and 14 as well as the NFL CHANNEL BABY!  :2vrolijk_21:

What you said UPC.  Love channel 14 and channel 7.  My big Dodge has Sirius, and I much prefer it over XM.  Can't wait til the merge.

What's the matter, no Deep Tracks (XM 40) Fans here? I guess I'm showing my fondness for the Psychadelic Era of the 60's! ;) Hoist! 8)

Yeah, I tried that, but I can't find a place to put the lava lamp on the SEUC, the incense isn't very effective at 90mph, and I keep dropping my roach clip everytime I go over a bump.

Try riding facing backwards.  Better grip on the clip since you won't be holding the bars.  The smoke blows away from you then & you can put the lava lamp on the tour pack.  The hell with the incense.  :2vrolijk_21:

Top Tracks 46 is pretty good, but they can vacuum alot too.  In my mind, Sirius 14 is much better.  I'll have to give a listen to Flight 26.  For the most part..........it has been my experience that everything on XM is just..........well..............weird.........I think. :-\

i am with you Hoist - channel 40 and 46 are for me.  Of course, sometimes i throw on the 101 reggae channel (reminds me of my bike trip through jamaica on a Honda 250 back in 1985).
