Terry, as you know I did the front end at Traction but because the Bitubos were out of stock, I kept my air rides. When Traction called and said the Bitubos were in, I decided not to go with them since I didn't want to give up the air rides, I use them every ride.
Did you replace yours and if so are you happy you did?

Oh no, Mark...I love my Legends, and they are still on the Ultra.  I did do the Traxxion and the Bitubo's on the Vrod though, and the ride/handling is incredible on it now.  The Legends really come into their own when the bike is loaded.  If I were not so damn short, and didn't need the Legends for that reason, I would put Bitubo's on in place of the stock shocks, without a doubt.

Oh, thanks. I was beginning to worry about how I would back my bike up without my little lowering button. I like being able to push a button and lower it to a flat footed position to walk it too much to go back to using my tiptoes. :2vrolijk_21:

Yes, the 13's maintain factory ride height. :2vrolijk_21:

I have 13" Progressive 440's with the Traxxion AK 20's front on the '06 SEUC, also decided to stay with that ride height on the Nanner 05 SEEG, but did get the BiTubo's and the AK 20's on it.

Can't wait to get my sorry ass on it and see how it rides now.

Just installed Bitubo's on my 08 SEUC and wondering how others have used the supplied bushing's during installation. Only small one's top and bottom or large on top and small on the bottom?  Looks like a better fit with small top and bottom. Thanks

I wound up using all four small ones and put the large ones in the parts drawer.

I used the larger ones on top.  This way, the shocks are vertical versus leaning inboard.

Thump is set up for a two-up ride tomorrow.....hopefully.  1" preload, 8 clicks of compression, and 2 clicks of rebound.  I was riding aggressively this afternoon, and did hit a bridge joint squarely.  Still.....never "felt" it bottom, but when I got home, the bump stops were planted against the top plates.  I'm taking the spanner and will adjust as necessary, but it is likely my ride height is where I want it, but I just want to be sure.  I've never had the bags on and off as much as I have today.  We'll see what happens tomorrow, and I'll update then.

Oh........Chuck, just thought you'd like to know that not only did Thumper get a good workout today, but I also had the Sporty out zippin' 'round.   :P Goooood scooter.  Wonder can I get some 12" BLACKED OUT Bitubos for the Sporty?  And then get the Sporty's forks done at Traxxion?  Don't worry, Buddy.  Soon you'll have that Golden Cherry finished and we'll all be droolin' over it.   :2vrolijk_21:

Reggab,

I just got these shocks installed and was curious about your settings.

Is your rebound 2 clicks from full hard or full soft?

Is your compression 8 clicks from full hard or full soft?

Thanks,

WOW!  I've fine tuned a ton since 9 Feb.  Rebound is midrange.  Compression is 8 clicks from full soft.  Preload is just a smidge less than an inch.....roughly 7/8"...............but all three have been all over the place in the past 2.5 months.  I don't even adjust for two up after riding solo.  I'm pretty happy with where they're set right now.  You know how those friggin' construction folks will dig a trench across a road to bury..........whatever..........then fill it in, and no matter how much you travel that road, something like that just pops up...............when you're flyin' at like 95 mph?  I ran over one today.  I cringed..........for no reason.  Hardly felt it.  Too kewl!!!

Each rider has to find his own sweet spot with these Bitubos.  Adjust, ride, adjust, ride, adjust ride..........and keep on keepin' on until you get it where you like it.  You'll learn about the shocks that way, and that will help you realize their full potential.  Enjoy the process.  I did.  Have fun.
