I'll take a voltage meter home with me tonight and check voltage in the old one and the new one. I thought about giving the old one the "dOOd voltage test" but I didn't think that grease on the connectors would mix well with my Budweiser! :vrolijk27:

If your eyes spin 9 times per second, does that indicate a full charge for a 9 volt battery?   :nixweiss:

Rates of percentage of full charge are measured in rotation cycles.  Full charge is displayed by counter rotation.  Geeez.....

Amateur methodology.    Nose hair singe ratio to eyeball smokeaging is a better indicator.

I need a beer - badly - yet beer thirty is almost an hour away.

Since this is a family board, my joke about the laying of ...shall we say 'the johnson' on a table and whacking it with a hammer as an efficient yet somewhat painful  ear wax removal method is highly inappropriate.  So I refrained, of course, from telling it here.

Is there a way to put that battery on some type of meter to see what the voltage is? Like you stated it could have been on the shelf for a while. Also another thought considering the type of battery it is does it/ is it one of the rechargeable types that may need to be connected for a certain time to build a charge/volts back up?

I think that this is the case. After another day of running around on the bike, and I think the new battery coming up to the proper voltage, the alarm is setting properly and not going off while riding. All is well. Thanks.

My best guess a broken wire that lets the alarm know everthing is OK.
