The clutch adjustment is really a two part process being a cable adjustment (freeplay) and the actual adjustment of the clutch engagement accessed through the clutch inspection cover on the primary. Without knowing how many miles you have on the bike, it's really hard to tell what the quick fix is. Often, you will find a small amount of "pulling" when the lever is depressed and the outside temp is cold. If that is the case, you can solve the problem with adding or subtracting a little more freeplay to the cable during the winter months to find the "sweet spot". If the problem continues after the bike is warmed up, you will need to adjust the problem out at the Clutch Adjuster Screw inside the inspection plate on the primary. If you have not had any experence with this, it would be best to carefully follow the instructions in the service manual as the pictures will be of great help in following the procedure the first time. You might also consider asking one of the HD techs to allow you to watch the clutch adjustment the first time to get the hang of it. Once you've done the adjustments a couple of times, it is not really a big deal, but trying to "wing it" can get you in a mess. Best advice is to carefully read the service manual (Section 1-18) and if not comfortable, get one of the pro's to walk you through it. Good luck.
