The smoke is a bit more bronzy, if that makes any sense. If you've seen the Kury Dragon Wings, it matches that tint nicely.
One way to measure, and not be guessing, is to cut a piece of cardboard out about 6 inches high and roughly the shape of the top of the shield. Then just tape that onto the outside of the current shield, keep moving it around to where you want it. Ideally, you should be able to look over the shield in your normal riding position and see a point on the ground about 50 feet in front of the bike. Measure from the top of the fairing to the "new" top, then call Clearview and tell 'em you measured from that point and they'll give you the right one. If you ride two up, and have chitty suspension, take that into account.
Or, you can just hold your hand up there and guess.
Or, you can get a yardstick and sit on top of the windshield...get another pair of hands for this...get yourself seated right, put the yardstick on the tip of your nose, then make it level...measure the distance between the yardstick and the top of the shield, and add....
