Got a voicemail o Saturday from the Service manager that the electircal issue was located and resolved.

I will find out and report Monday what they found when I pick up the bike.

You've heard that before Rog.  Seeing will be believing.

My thoughts exactly.  Like four times before, but I do have faith still in the mgr, so Monday will tell.  I can only hope he found a specific fault and that it is the last one.

Good luck this time Rog. I hope they finally found something concrete that you can feel confident about. Nothing like going on a trip when your not sure if the Gremlins are going with you. Hope they got it right this time. Let us know what they found. Hoist! 8)

I picked it up just a bit ago.  So far so good.

They have a deal now that they fill your tank when you bring it in for service.

Since my gauge was inop I imagine that's why they filled mine.  Nice touch though.  Even on a no charge warranty service.

Now back to get my DWG tht I had a new Joker taillight installed on and a 2500m service, even though it has only 150m on it since the last service, I gues 3 years is long enough between oil changes, even if it sits in a heated showroom.

I guess I better rideit some this year since it most likely is getting turned into another baloon tire ride shortly.  Most likely a RK or RG but no way to know until next week whenthe CVO's are announced.  Might get pulled into another SE of some kind.

Picked up the bike a couple of days ago and finally got in touch with the manager to thank him for the service and repair that seems to be good.

He said they found a wire had pulled out of a realy.  So a solid fix, which made me happy they found a specific problem not a "we think we got it" kind of deal.  No wonder the wire got pulled out, they had been yankin' on the harnesses on and off for months.

Oh well, hopefully it's an "all's well that ends well" scenario at this point.  I guess we'll know if I get a few thousand on it to Nelson and the rides without blowing fuses. :2vrolijk_21:

Sounds like you brewed up a bit of an electrical storm there Rog. Hope everything goes OK for the big GTG on the Nelson ride.

Rog - sounds like your electrical issue is finally behind you.  Good deal on that tank refill - more dealers should offer this especially on multiple warranty trips for the same problem.

Have a safe trip to Nelson.  Bet it will be a blast - always wanted to ride in that area.

It isn't too late.

It is VERY tempting.

No 'big' trip for us this year (last year's was Sturgis/Yellowstone/Bear Tooth).  Several shorter trips this year mostly to the Smokies - will be at least 3 by the end of the year.

Next year a maybe is Nova Scotia - still looking at that vs AZ/CO/NM/UT.

Nelson will be a blast and the riding is outstanding.  Talked to a couple at Bear Tooth pass last year that had just been through the area.  Really wish we could go.
