Do these things bolt up IN the channel piece under the frame, or behind it?  The J&S jack depends on the channel for stability, and I LOVE my J&S jack.

Jerry, you know the LT has an electric centerstand?  Sweet...
Terry,

Not only a "powered" centerstand, but a reverse as well.  It's probably a good thing the only BMW dealer around here is 50 miles away in downtown Chicago, a place I tend to avoid whenever possible.

The stands do mount inside the dogbone channel, which is also where one side of most jacks would sit.  Others have mentioned that it didn't stop them from using their jacks, just had to add an appropriate size spacer where the jack contacts the frame at the front to keep everything level.

yeah, I can see that in the picture, right under the dogbone.  Right where the aft skid of my jack goes.  I guess there is a trade off:  really nice center stand, or jack.

Has anyone mounted this new rear center stand and had challenges getting your floor jack under the scooter?

its mounted
no Problems getting the floor jack under the scooter

I'm assuming this center stand would not work well with the legend air ride? I run about two inches lower than stock ride height.

skycuse2,

The adjustable RIVCO and the H-D stands are really designed to work with stock or one inch lowered suspensions.  They might be able to handle up to 2 inches, but I don't think I'd assume that without calling and asking.  Of course, with the Legend system you can just jack up the bike an inch or two with the suspension and then deploy the stand.

Chrome Center Stand

Lifting your bike upright and off the side stand is ideal for cleaning and servicing, and reduces the space required for parking - handy where space is at a premium in a crowded garage, a small parking spot, or at a ride-in bike show. The robust Chrome Center Stand attaches directly to the frame and does not reduce the lean angle. Designed to work with all Original Equipment suspension configurations and with Profile suspension lowering kits, the adjustable feet can be set to lift the rear tire clear of the pavement, or to keep the rear tire on the ground for reduced lifting effort. The lifting lever is inconspicuously tucked away below the passenger footboard, and fits with all Harley-Davidson® Original Equipment and accessory footboard and exhaust configurations. Kit includes chrome stand, black mounting brackets, and all necessary installation hardware.

It's been a long time since anyone posted in this thread but I am thinking I might want one of the Harley centerstands. Well actually three of them.
Brochure says it doesn't reduce cornering clearance's but does anyone have one and how easy was it to install.

HELP?

SBB

I could get more room in the garage if the bikes stood up straight!   :nixweiss:
