I'll add my .02...I like the Night Rod and I like the Dyna street bob. I don't like that they did not put a 6 speed in the touring bikes or the CVO's. As for the color on the SE Ultra, I'll wait and see it in person...in the sun. When I saw the Cherry SEEG on H-D's website, I thought it looked BLAH! I saw another photo in an AMA article that looked better. When I saw it in person, in the sun, it was beautiful beyond compare. I do not like the leather tour pak in the picture, cheapens the bike, but I will wait until I can inspect it in person. Did the Moco do everything right? no...did they do everything wrong? no again. Am I disappointed? somewhat...would I sell my SEEG for an 06? NO WAY. But I might add an 06 when I see them. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

It's ok, your right

I said the same thing.
I had no contacts.
Just used common sense.
If you are selling the best and hottest bike ever produced in the CVO line it only makes sense to continue on with it.
Then you have the two year restriction, what shall they do,, well duh!
Continue on, add a few whistles and bells and charge more.
Thus the Ultra,,,,,,,,,,,,,,unless the moco is stupid it's a natural progression.
Like I said common sense!

Or you could be honorable, do the right thing, and not exploit.  Clearly, the MoCo is incapable of not exploiting.

3 (will be 4) years of SE Electra Glides is expoliting the model line.  I know it's about money... but it's wrong.  And yes.... they ARE the same bike!  [smiley=thumbsdown.gif]

I can say that I have heard from very reliable sources that there will be an Ultra SEEG for 2006. There is more then just intercom, CB. There is 4 speakesr compared to 2. There is also a largerer tour pack custom painted. There will also be some sort of Satelite radio offered on 2006 Ultra. And I am pretty sure that during our group chat that it will include a 6 speed tranny. That alone with 103" motor, th CVO Ultra would be more then worth the money and wait for a 2006. Just my thoughts as a Harley owner for over 8 years and a fantatic with some great connections in York PA.

Watch 2 years from now they'll introduce the 2008 CVO Street Glide (fhlx) model and milk the SEEG's popularity even longer..........  [smiley=confused.gif]

To be honest...

I like the new Dyna series bikes a lot. They took the Low Rider and put nice cast wheels on it. Gotta love the 6 speed.

The Street Bob looks like the best canvas for customizing. I know...the point is to have it stripped, but who really leaves them stock?

No real difference in the Heritage Softail and the Fat Boy.

It appears as if the MoCo decided that the fat tire thing isn't over yet.

...they're wrong.

I agree with others...I'd take the Victory Hammer over the V-Rod every time right now.

As I said to Naitram yesterday...I'll keep mine forever.

No real change in the stock FB, but the SEFB got a 200 tire for this year along with the road winder chrome wheels. I didn't see any changes in the Heritage Classic either, but there is a new bike in the Softail line too. It's called the Heritage Softail, looks just like the Heritage Classic, but no saddlebags or windshield. Don't understand or see why they're even building this bike, as the FB is the same as the Heritage already just with different fenders and no bags or shield. Why would they want another bike that much the same as the Heritage Classic? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Sandy

As someone wrote above, these bikes really do seem just a way to continue on with what had been a very successful platform.
