I had the grey ostrich , they picked up the black from my gloves over time, but were REALLY comfy.

That's my first reaction to these grips too Nidan.  My hands love them.  Someone with small hands might not be able to use them well.  But if you can grip them they are very very comfortable.

I still think the ISO's looked better, at least on my bike.  But these aren't bad.  And they were a gift so it's not a bad choice to use them.  Even better is that my niece noticed them shortly after they were installed.  Said "Uncle Donnie, those are NEW...   They're pretttttty."

With judging like that I can't go wrong.

No RR, nothing at all.  I've used them for years on several different bikes.  Always loved them.  They feel great on your hands and nothing unique or difficult about the install at all.

Only thing that comes to mind is, unless they've changed them since I got my last set three years ago, the left grip will be a glue on even if what you're taking off is not.

The Kurykayn ISO I had on since the bike was two nights old are larger diameter than the stock pieces.  The SAC grips are a bit larger than the ISOs.  No problems using the clutch with either.  Diameter of the ISO grips is 1.625.  The SAC grips are about 1.80.  Don't have a clue what the stock pieces might have been.

I've also got braid on the levers making them a bit thicker also.  All tha put together is still no problem for clutch or brake usage.
Thanks. After you showed a picture of your SAC grips I got one of their catalogs and they do have a nice pair in orange.

Assuming there's something you like the looks the grips feel great on your hands.  Obviously a tiny bit more leather to clean.  Still haven't found the ideal product for that.  Most cleaners also leave the leather nice and smooth feeling.  That's ok in most places.  And it's ok if you don't have gloves on.  But if your favorite good weather gloves are also old and worn pretty smooth it means you've got one surface that will very easily slide over the other.

That was my main thought. Since my hands are so large I was wondering if a larger in diameter grip would feel better after a long days ride. :nixweiss: Still somewhat torn on a decision though due to the fact of replacing them would mean loosing some chrome and I'm just afraid of the withdrawals I'll have to go thru. :nervous: :D

The end caps stand out.  Nice chrome there.  While chrome is many things; it's not soft and forgiving under your hands on the handlebars.  While changing them you could also put in a set of those Heat Demons elements ??? !

One more thought.  If losing too much chromeage is hurting your soul you might consider those ISO.  They are larger diamter than stock.  They are a comfortable grip.  And you see more chrome.

I was thinking the flame orange ones. Thought they might tie in good w/the flame pinstriping in the paint. :nixweiss:

Was guessing you were looking at either the flamed one or the braided one.  If you find yourself really interested check out this seller on eBay: The Hawg Trough

After feeling mine someone I know here had to try a set himself.  Found that seller.  The seller had fair prices to begin with and then accepted an offer of two or three dollars less than the buy it now price listed.

Doing something like that might entice me into getting more heated gear and riding in cold weather. :o ;D

Even short of weather that suggest more heated gear the warm grips are proving to be very nice.  Now I know why MrsWe has put up with all the hassles getting hers replaced so many times.  With your recently rebuilt ass have you got any idea yet if cold weather will be a problem or not?
