You have two very desirable bikes the Ultra is a very pretty color combination. Have you tried consigment at a independent Harley shop?
I choke at the cost of CVO's today. I have a 2001 SERG with 1700 miles and I'll be lucky to pull $15K. I looking at a 08 Black Diamond CVO Springer. Presently my dealer is holding out for the $3K over MSRP. I owned 11 Harleys and I only paid over list once in 1996 for my FXSTS. I promised myself hell would freeze over before I would do it again. You might as well throw the $3K in a barrel and burn it. Harley dealers need a reality check!
I predict the dealers will be sitting on bikes this year for awhile. Look at real estate in the USA, it's stagnent. Cars sales suck also. I told my dealer to call me if he was serious with selling at MSRP and not to wait too long.

Thanks Frank for the kind words.  I discussed consignment with our local Harley dealer.  They want 10% of the gross plus and inspection fee.  I understand their commission and fee, they got to make a profit too.  It would have required me to price them higher than I believe the market would bear right now, so I decided to sell them privately.

Thanks for the info. If Seacoast Harley continues to hold the line on the $3K over. I'll take the ride to N.J. for my next purchase.

I visited their website, looks like they still have a whole lot of '07s left!

you're lucky to find 1 or 2 still at the dealers here.......

sounds like that kind of thinking is the reason they have so many '07s still left!

are they at least discounting the '07s?

The 07's when I first looked at them were MSRP. They had all three colors at that time. The only reason that I can think of is to push the 07 inventory first and if you really want a 08 then your gonna pay.

I too called around on my 2007 SE SMURF CUSE2 and found a dealer in Brandon/Tampa that was selling at MSRP and took a $1000 deposit that would be refundable if I did not like the color (sent mea fax in writting. Never laid eyes on my sales person until the bike came in 2 months later and they called me when it was ready. We did stay in touch and built a repore (sp) with one another. I have since bought another bike there and sent others there as well. They are 100 miles from my home. I use them for my service work and have built a pretty decent relationship with a few folks there. They are great people to deal with.
