So, I have been waxing poetic over what to get for a bike to leave at the summer place in eastern Washington.
I thought about a RG but I think it is more of a road bike than I need, if I did one I'd want to get Spiderman's but I'll be doing more putting around than long hauls on this bike. The weather is warmer and more sun than Western Washington and it gets there earlier in the year, late April to late October is the good riding window, it's in the 80's there all week this week.
I thought about another SEUC and strip it down a bit, Street Glide is what I really want I think, but it is hard to pass up the amenities of the SEUC especially since we are two up a lot and Cindy (me too) really likes the intercom when we are riding.
So I get a call a week or so ago from a customer I sold a car to and he's a HD shop owner.
Rog, could you store my car and a couple bikes while I am on vacation? I suppose I can, what are they? Hey you can ride 'em while they are there, one is a Street Glide and the other is a SEVR. Oh and the Maserati Quattraporte.
No problem, I have room for them how long are you gone? About a month, they should arrive in a week or so.
Yesterday the Gran Tourisimo truck pulls in and voila...........instant Street Glide owner, SERV, and Quattraporte.
What a pizzer, the Street Glide is sweet. 16 friggin' miles on it, Black, Custom Paint in a silverish and red trim with hand painted Harley Davidson on the tank.............chit, it virtually matches my '06 SEUC (in a good way). Still it's own bike but with a hint of custom look reminiscent of the SEUC in a way, maybe it's just the colors.
SE pipes that sound stock to me, very little note, some cool grips and pegs to match, black lower front forks, I'll have to look it over closer today and get a few pics
I don't know if it's an '08 or '07, I think it may be an '07, but crap 16 miles, how can I ride that? Then there's still the SERV, I guess I get to finally spend some time on a V. Didn't ride it into the shop the truck guy did so no idea of the miles on it, but the rear tire looked new.
Oh, I would have more info on the bikes but the friggin' Italian POS had a dead battery. By the time I figured out with the trucker where the battery was and how to get to it and get it jumped I was already an hour behind schedule and it was nearly 8pm. So cut me a little slack on the pics and I'll get them up today, along with a short ride review if I get time to take it/them for a spin
