Terry and others...what manuals do you guys have that really gets into specifics for BSRs dos and don'ts. My wife loves the whole scene and loves looking at all the pictures that I show her but she is skeered of her own shadow...I am nervous that she is going to jump while we are in a turn because of something she sees and down we go. Appreciate any reading/watching how to books/videos, whateva.

gars...Suzanne had never been on the back of a bike since she was in her teens 'till we met. I have several books on riding technique, suspension set up, etc, but probably one of the best is "Total Control" by Lee Parks. Lee raced bikes, and the book is written from that perspective, but also has a lot about different styles of bikes and how they will handle/perform. There is an entire chapter devoted to BSR's and what they should and should not do. Some of the things are things nobody would do (sport bike, hanging off the bike, etc), but it is very informative and was helpful to Suzanne. She read much of the entire book, so she would better understand how the bike works. It made her more comfortable on the back, I think. With the way the Ultra's back seat is, she's pretty much "locked in" to the backrest. It also helps that she COMPLETELY trusts my abilities...it's like having another pair of eyes back there helping me look for the crazy cagers about to do unpredictable things. We have a signal thing worked out where she doesn't do anything dramatic, but just touches my waist if she sees something I may not. Usually I've seen it already, but I appreciate her being aware of what's going on around us.
When she's not asleep back there, that is...
