There's that cam chest vent line again.  UGH.

Henry, routing will be up to you to find what you like best.  I've got a length of 3/8 braided line I'll bring you though.  Will throw it in the trailer to take to MV.  It's not new but it's fine to use.  No matter where you run it the silver braided covered line will look better than the plain rubber line.

Thanks, Don.  Certainly appreciate that.  Wondering how I'm gonna dress up the ends of that hose tho'.  Wonder can that be accomplished with a worm clamp and still look decent?

One end will likely be hidden; or mostly so.  The other end, however, I've got you covered on.  Will also bring a chrome capped hose clamp.  You'll be stylin' :bananarock: .   :drink:

Hey Henry, great to see you got Thumper back. Glad it's running so well. I had no doubt Dennis would give you a great job. I've chatted and PM'd with him, and he sure knows his chit!

I'm choosing to keep my build local, with a friend that's been doing engines for 25 years. Need a place to bring my bike to, not ship parts all over the place. I'm stepping out of the middle. He'll order everything and build it. Don't know what the hell I was thinking trying to save some labor $$ by using the dealer. A custom engine job should be built by an engine builder, not a parts changer, like the dealers. Their system isn't setup for that type of work. Not for it to get done right anyway. Good luck with yours. You did yours right. I'll just try mine again with a Pro, and make it stronger in the process! ;)

Hey Chip!  COMPRESSION RELEASES!!!!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  These things scared the BEJEEZZUS outta me when I fired off Thump for the first time.  Shortly thereafter I realized how good they sound.  Too KEWL!!!!!  Oh, have I mentioned how much I LOVE the green bike????????

Damn Henry!

Reading your post has me excited also.
I'm ready to hear and see Thumper run in M/V.
Can't remember? ? ? ? Did you say something about loving the green bike?  HUH ???

Nancy and I were at a bike event a few years ago and when Nancy fired up the Lowrider someone walked over to me and said, "You better check your wife's sparkplugs. Sounds like one of them is loose."

I looked at him and thought of all the answers I could give and said,

"OK, thanks man."

Yeah Jerry, I'm thinking Dennis is going to be seeing more business from this group.  The man is a great builder.  This build is all about reliability and longevity.  I think we're gonna achieve that endstate.

Oh, chit!! :nervous:  I've heard those words before. :huepfenlol2:

Seriously, I'm glad you're happy, Henry, and am anxious to read more of your impressions after you have the bike in the mountains.  I know mine was a LOT more enjoyable to ride there last fall after doing the 575s and Rineharts, so I can only imagine what you have to look forward to. :2vrolijk_21:

Got caught in the rain on the way home, so Thumper is a dirty Girl.  I'll take care of that later tonight.  OK, so she's not a 103 anymore.  I know that.......and so do you, but those who don't know Thumper don't know she ain't a 103.   8) ;)

Henry, how did the bike look when it was delievered?  Curious if it was clean and well cared for while in Dennis' possession. :nixweiss:

Yeah...........I'm not diggin' that cam chest vent line either.  Gonna have to figure out another way to do that.  Happily accepting input!!!!!!!

 :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:  Do they do builds without that . . . . . . . . . . that THING sticking out of there? :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2:

Brian,
First, no one cleans a bike better than the owner.  That said, Thumper was clean........and very well cared for, BUT, I don't care who you are, no one cleans a bike like I clean a bike.  Know what I mean?  It's just one of them things..........you know.

Yeah, I guess they do builds without that THING, but not with that cam plate and cover.  Don't worry, I'll fix it.  Gives me something to do later.  Right now it is functional.

Can't speak for Brian, but I know exactly what you mean. I prefer that the shop not wash my bike after servicing and detail it myself when I get home. I'm afraid of what will be in the washmitt when they start washing my bike. :nervous: I'm right up there w/the top ten of anal detailer's and keep my mitts clean, change water often, and use a different mitt/sponge to clean tires/wheels. So Henry you are not alone. :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks Howie........and you are 100% correct.  Dennis is a top shelf guy.  He has my complete confidence.  Totally understand your wish to stay local.  Best Blessings to you Bro.  This time, the last time, will be the right time.

Your supposed to wash these things. I always thought that your supposed to ride it like you stole it so there is no time for cleaning.

We ride, spray them off with CRC so they wont rust and ride again, now the CRC collects all the dirt and grime it can so they never look clean. Nature of the beast of living on the ocean.

Gary, Brother, I'm aseptically surgical when it comes to keeping that scooter clean.  I should be studied, actually.  Someone could do their Psychology PhD dissertation on the topic of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and not have to look anywhere else but my garage for a lifetime of useful data capable of being formed into breakthrough information thus ensuring the PhD Learner's successful completion of his program.  D00d.........in other words............I'm a sick Mo' Fugger.   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  Dirt scares me!   :vrolijk27:

I've seen your bike before I know better. You may live near the ocean but your bikes get there fair share of fresh water.
