REDNECKS? yall want to get drunk and fight? lol   we know we aint right, we know we cant spell, but my wifes sisters brother that maried my daughter may take offense!

Took the words right outta my mouth, Dennis.  We could also get drunk and have a BB gun fight.  But that won't be near as much fun as takin' Howie on a snipe hunt!   :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

AHHHH ITE, den.  As for the green bike's engine.....FLAWLESS.  No problems.  A little warm when climbing a 20 mile stretch of US 441 in 3rd and 4th gear (253) and it got up to 243 in traffic in Cherokee and hit 248 after tooling down US 72 on the way home today.  Very pleased with the build.  Have to see what work throws at me on Tuesday, but my intent is to get the bike down to Dennis this weekend.  Will probably have to leave it with him for the week, but that may change depending on workload.  I'd like to be there for the tune, but not sure if I can.  We'll see.  Other than that, Thumper never missed at beat.  Goooooood engine.   :cucumber: :cucumber: :cucumber:

henry, remember the lazy timing will be corrected now that you have enough miles for the dyno. need to get the temp up over 300-----------------------so it will tun like harley intended/ lol.

curious how you liked the rush mufflers? a good trip will let you know if sound is what you wanted, or obnoxious like some others.  what did your wife think of em? she heard em more than you did.????????????????????????

Renea and I both love the Rush mufflers.  There is no "BRAIN BUZZ" after a long haul.  The sound is perfect.  Better than any muffler I've ever ridden with.  The 02 Ultra had V&H BS Long with quiet baffles.  Renea said that system was way too loud for her.  No problems with the Rush except the left muffler is ever so slowly backing off the header, and is leaking exhaust gas around the header to muffler union.  This morning I'm going to loosen the V clamp, hopefully reseat the muffler on the header, and tighten the V clamp.  That's it.

cool!! dadnabbit, in my haste i forgot to mention to retighten the mufflers after heat cycles. sorry man--------its the little things that are overlooked while rushing to get a job done with deadline. keeep me informed, we may have to pin the hanger like on 2-1 mufflers if it keeps wanting to slide back.

Had to get a new TORCA clamp.  The old one wouldn't clamp the muffler at all.  New one appears to be holding.  Finished 20K service and went for a putt.  No leak, and the muffler didn't move.

Gonna carry Thumper down to Cripple Creek Saturday morning for the final tune.  Will also have the black cam chest vent line replaced with a Chromite line and reroute so it looks better, yet still functions.  There will be a few other minor clean-up jobs, but other than that, the 4K RPM limitation is about to be lifted.  Thumper is clean, Glared, covered and sitting in the garage just waiting to go to Lower Alabama for her final tune.  I'm planning to load her in the enclosed trailer for the trip down there and back, so I can allow for my rapid return to Huntsville.  Busy week next week, but Thumper will be ready for N. Georgia.  And about those final numbers.......................do you really want them?   ;D  :2vrolijk_21:

There was a 4,000 RPM limit? Why didn't you tell me before I rode it?  ;D

Henry,

I think the most important piece of this build is the ability to obtain duplication of the numbers and rideability / longevity of the package as a whole.

Lets face it, everyone wants to know what it will produce due to the amount of exposure / talk about it that has happened over the past 4 or so weeks.
