...It must have been a long four months . Are we going to see you in Sedona next year ? ...
You know, it really has been a long summer with no bike. Don't get me wrong, it is not like my heart was broken or anything. We did have each other and we did get out and about and have fun, just not on bikes. There was a lot of time for reflection and looking around we realize just how wonderful our lives are are, and how much we enjoy doing things together. That, and the horrendous heat kinda kept us indoors a lot, and Jamey's rapidly deteriorating back has kept us close to the ice packs, so it was not the end of the world. But now it is fall, our absolutely favorite time of year to ride, Virginia is real purty this time of year, so we hope we can get out a little more now that both bikes are tuned and running fine.
Re Sedona? You bet!

Unless something happens that just won't allow us to make the trek, we are planning on it. Jamey starts a whole new career in a couple of months, and not sure where that is leading yet, so as long as he can take time off work, we are going to go. At this point, we are hoping to fly Jamey's brother, Tim, here from Maple Ridge, BC. He will ride the Road King and us on our two SEEGs. Hogasm started turning our heads about adding onto the trip, but when we start looking at miles and hours, we are pulling back and thinking that just a simple trip from here and back, will be enough for us.
Getting out on my bike this last weekend was a complete joy. I was babying it, the way I changed gears and everything, not letting the revs get too high or too low until after it passed the 500 mile range. Now it is kinda look out, cause here I come. This one road that FireD00d pointing us onto is a perfect kinda of road, two lanes, very twisty, in the woods and pasture lands. Yup! Great to be back in the wind again for sure.
