Just a reminder to all that are getting this update and those that own Zumo's. It would be a good idea to back up your "Garmin" folder from your Zumo when you first get it, and also before doing updates. Chit happens, but when it does makes life so much better if you have backups. :2vrolijk_21: There is also a MP3 folder that you can copy if you are concerned about loosing the few songs that came stock in the unit.

Alright. :2vrolijk_21: It takes awhile to update so do it when you have the time to just let it do it's thing. I'm updating mine now and using a laptop to be here. They recommend that you have all other programs closed (like any software installation) while doing the update, so I decided to follow those instructions (for once ;D).

Just like Dave (VaEagle) stated in his post free is really free in this case. :2vrolijk_21: Got mine installed today w/o any problems. It is time consuming (45 - 60 minutes) so make sure you have planned the time to finish this when you start the upgrade.

Ok, I'm having a problem w/ my software. I tried posting on the Zumo fourm but this site is way better for getting answers correctly & quickly.

My 478 was sent in for a new screen & came back w/ City Navigator N.A. NT 2008 A programmed. I also got the new software update disk. Now I want to load it but it says I can't upgrade w/o a pervious version installed. I've got it on the Garmin but not in Mapsource. Any help?

Mapsource and City Navigator are two different programs. Is it possible the replacement already has the newest version of City Navigator??

Yes. It does have it loaded. What I want is the latest version in Mapsource on my computer so I can then transfer it to the unit.

Do you have City Navigator NA as one of the drop down options already? If not, that's the problem.

Ok, then you want the latest version of Mapsource to download to your computer?? I'm taking it as you already have Mapsource loaded on your computer and you just want to update it. If that's the case check here - MapSource software version 6.13.2 as of August 31, 2007. That is the latest version of Mapsource. To see what version you have now open Mapsource, click on help -> about and it should tell you what version you have.
