The Eagle is in the shop this week for a second round of repairs to leaky back cylinder and noise in front cylinder head (clearance issue we think). Ticket # 816143 issued 1-28-08 with John in Customer Service @ MoCo, along with a letter I sent requesting a fix or $$$ back.

Inner sleeve checked OK...new head gasket installed rear cylinder (5th generation?), one ACR was bad, so they replaced both ACRs...noise in front cylinder was improper clearance in rocker box cover...machined out a small section for proper clearance.........when I pick up the bike next Wednesday, I'll share part numbers for the new cylinder with all....
We should start up a new MC....field engineering, design and operations (FEDOs), a division of HD MoCo CVO !   Back on the highways.......

Sounds good GR. Gen 5 gasket? Probably not, but I'd be interested in a number.

Just called about mine, for the second set of head gaskets.  Didn't get to talk to the SM, but the bike's done.  Problem is I can't get to get it until maybe 2 wks from now.  We'll see what they did this time.  First time had new gaskets and cylinders F&R.

I was at dealer today and they have my motor taken apart one liner moved pretty good and other a lil. I talked to the motor man before they had mine apart and he talked to me about swiching some of the valve parts to a old durable style that was better than the new ones,and today he said that he looked at my heads and they do have the old durable style valve parts with better springs.So that means just a check out and valve job for heads.Hopefully cylinders get here soon and they can finish my motor before he starts racing. ride safe jdo

Update . . . at 5100 miles, while riding to the dealer for my 5k service, the rear head gasket began leaking. By the time I got there, oil on the tranny cover and right exhaust pipe . . . 

I have kept it clean, and checked it for this problem each time I ride.

First started at 4400 rode to 8000 before fixed ,second time was at 22,500 miles. Just finished last repair  2clys(.010 to straighten out),new pistons,valve job, and a new crank and it running better than ever . Ride Safe jdo

Bottom of Jug leak at 1100 miles. 2400 Miles later bottom of jugs leak again and also leaking bad from head gaskets.

Twice in 2,400 miles is terrible. I was first at 1,800 and then again at 4,800. Now at 11,000 and it's still leaking. Waiting for the real fix before doing it again.

Good luck on getting a better result this time.

Posted mine in a different thread, but decided to add it here too. Bothe front and rear head gaskets shot. Replaced last week with 07A gaskets ( dealers in Canada not in HD knowledge loop). Waiting for next leak.
