did your brake lever hit your header pipe ?

Nope!  Misses just fine. I think they ALL will if you are careful when you mount them.  I fitted a friend's for him, clearance was fine, then some weeks later it went into the dealer for the head gaskets to be done, came out with the brake lever hitting the header. I loosened it off (muffler and C-clamp, and made it clear again happily.

2007 B/O FLHTCUSE2 w/ approx 8000 miles: new tiny leak on top rear cylinder head gasket facing the rear of the bike.

My mechanic suggests that I wait for it to get a little worse before I take it to the Harley Dealer.

I use the V&H Touring Dual headers, Bruno.  I'm very happy with them, good quality, look really good, and your mufflers will fit straight on.

Mine did.  Tied like hell not to grind it, but that's what it took.

Mine, yes !

Jacques

Hi jacques, by the picture it looks as if you have the silver 110 plates on your heads. Mine turned gold looking on the back cylinder and just asked the dealer about getting the new ones that are black and when I came to pick it up they were on there. No charge and personally I think the new ones look better.

My 110 plates are silver but not really yellow. Now it's a collector  ;)

If the problem concerning our engine is solved by the MoCo, when the next leak arrives, I'll ask a new motor.

I agree with you the new ones look better but I think that it's not the most important.

Actually, I put a maximum of miles on my bike before the winter because it'll be totally dismounted for the painting on the frame (warranty). I hope that the leak (or other problem) arrives before this stop.

I wish to ride a full season the next year without doubt during the trips.

07 se ultra. 3000 miles started to weep. At 5000 let loose down the side of the bike. All gaskets replaced.
Now 8000 miles and starting to weep again.

Welcome, Keith.  You are in good company, dealing with a not always good company.  Call HD customer service and open a case.  Demand new cylinders F&R and before that have them check crank runout.  More than likely you'll get a new motor.

Rear cylinder leak at 5k.  No leaks since (18400 mi.).  Also, changed to V&H true duals with ovals and V&H Fuel Pak, and Dougherty PowerPak AC with vents after leak.  Checked AFR on Dyno (13.1).  Seems to run a little cooler, but still hotter than anything else I've ridden.

I'm trying to compile some statistics on what percentage of 110 owners are having problems, correlated with the number of miles on the motor.

So, if you are a 110 inch owner, please respond only once with only this information.

Miles on the bike
Have you had a cylinder oil leak problem (Yes or No)

I will compile this over the next few weeks and post the results. Thanks! keith

EDIT

If you are not sure if you have a leak yet, here is a quick test. Take a white paper towel. When the bike is cool, drag it across and through the cylinder fins just below the rear cylinder exhaust flange. That's seems to be where it shows up first.

You guys are making me nervous :nervous:.  I've got 4800 miles on my Jester and still no problems. (other than it's dirty right now :-\ )  It's like waiting for doomsday to approach.  When I take it in for it's 5K, I'm going to have them go over it with a fine-tooth comb and see if I've missed anything.
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:,

Laugh or cry?  Just dropped my 07SEUC off for its 10K service; dealer called to tell me that the rear cyl is leaking.  It's so small they could hardly see it and I didn't see it at all....
add me to the list.
