My 07 ultra was an early generation bike, built 6/06.  I have seen differences in my bike compared to other 07's, like quality of oil cooler lines, etc. and was thinking this may have been an early 110 and may have different head gaskets, etc. that work.     Just turned 13.5K on the odom and still leak free.   Weird ,but happy about it.    Truly feel sorry for those who have leaks having to deal with the Factory.    FYI, did have a conversation with our local HD service manager and he told me that they have only had one leaker on a 110 upgrade.  Yeah, he said it with a straight face.

Mine was 8/06.  Two head gasket leaks and a bad crank.  New motor by 6000.

Hi All from Australia

I'm reading this and you have scared me. I have a 2008 FXDSE2 2600 KL's and I think it has a little lifter noise but I'm no mechanic so I'll have it checked out now. I have noted that the feedback with problems seems to be centred on the larger cruiser models. Has anyone experienced problems with the 2008 Dyna CVO.

Rear gasket leak at 10.000 miles. >:(

Will be interesting to see how the Moco recall  (fix) will
be brought to effect in Finland.

With all ups and extras I have ECU 50.000+ on the bike
(USD 75.000+) and I am not impressed.

After 30 years on Harleys, I am seriously considering change
to Triumph Rocket III or one of the touring BMWs.

3100 miles, oil weep appears to be coming from pushrod tubes. bike went into shop 2 days ago. will update post with fix when bike comes home.
bike is a 2008 fdxse2 in red. love the bike, hate that it's leaking already.  :confused5:

Yendor1954- sounds like you've got one that wasn't clearanced properly in the rocker boxes.  It's a fairly simple fix.  You get her from the Paramatta dealer?  Looks good!

HD dealer here told me that they have seen 2 or 3 ooze where the shift linkage enters the transmission case, but none with head gasket leaks.  They sell a fair number of CVO bikes and actually order them far ahead of time.  They have a pretty robust service department too so they see a lot of bikes including those visiting for bike rallies from other locations.

With the SERT and dyno tune I think this bike runs much cooler than my 1998 Road Glide ever did, and I drove that one mostly in northern New England where it never saw a 90F day.  I don't think any of the CVO 110 failures are directly due to heat, at least not if you have richened the fuel mixture with a SERT or equivalent tuner.

Leaking as of this morning.

Rear jug.  The usual "weep" oil seepage.  Just enough where it comes off on your fingertip when wiped.

11,150 miles give or take a few.
