My dealer just showed me a stock 110 head that had the ACR blow out with the threads like yours.  Two week wait for a head.  It looks like no motors (110) are being built now.  My new motor was a -A version but no one can say what that means.  I'll be riding it tomorrow evening if all goes well along with the new tranny.



I guess I feel a little better now, knowing I'm not the only one to spit one out. But I an't waiting for a new head. I welded them friggin' holes closed and am having manual ones machined in! If I get rid of all the HD engine parts, there won't be any left to break. Let's see how long the bottom end lasts now! ;)

Never anyone's choice but your own of course.  Especially when considering the investment already in that engine the belt and suspenders approach doesn't seem a bad one man.  Hey, the cost of the SERT is maybe the cost of one tow bill that might be saved if you could just unplug the Power Commander and keep right on going in the event of a failure.  And that doesn't even begin to speak to the lost riding day or days.  Pretty cheap insurance....

Funny you mention that Don. I'm sitting at my desk looking at a little box with P/N 32107-01H; 9/10/07; EFI Race Tuner Kit! I wonder if I'm keeping it! ::)

Thanks BH! I'm waiting for the new parts to arrive. Deadline for that is receipt of same by next Mon. Reassembly during next week and complete next week ASAP. With any luck, I can break it in again up at Neal's. Or worst case the following week. But it needs to be ready for the MV trip. And as usual, I'm cutting it really close again! :nixweiss:

This bike has been a challange, to say the least. Anything worth keeping, is worth waiting for. Man, this thing must be a real keeper, huh? ;)

No doubt!!!  Actually you are a part of why I went ahead with my 08. I was looking for the bike that just had "it" ( kinda like Jessica Alba) Since I plan on keeping for a long long time I said what the hell. If you can put that much into making something yours than it must be worth it!!!!!! :bananarock:
